I was about to say "this looks like late 90's saturday morning network TV drivel", then I looked it up on Wikipedia. It's early 2000's, but it's Canadian, so they're behind about 5 years.

It's fun trying to infer the date of previously unknown TV shows by meticulously deconstructing their content. For example, here we have: a premise that unironically reinforces binary gender norms, kids going to a video arcade, and a particularly dated comment about "the ozone layer". Based on this information, I at first assumed this show was created sometime in the early-to-mid 1990s. To my dismay, however, a quick fact check on Wikipedia revealed that this is a Canadian TV show, created as late as 2002!

Did Canada still have video arcades in 2002? I guess they must have; I suspect that Canada, like the UK, is about ten years behind the United States.

As for your dare, DQL, I don't know if I am equal to the challenge, but I will try.

We still have video arcades even today.

I go to arcades semi-regularly, although only to play DDR because it's a good cardio workout and I no longer have space for a decent setup at home.

I haven't seen an arcade in Canada in almost twenty years, I think that "fun center" in WEM closed down.

Probably depends on where you look. Vancouver still has quite a few, apparently.

Problem Solverz comes to mind when I think of most appalling character design and art direction but this is certainly up there

The blonde one is so tiny. Maybe she is a baby. Maybe this show is about a bunch of douchebag teens who kidnapped a baby and dressed her up. Maybe they're in a cult. I bet the cult is very poorly drawn.

I didn't notice it at first, but you're right. Maybe it's a nod to diversity, like she's a little person. Or Maybe she's a late bloomer, and she won't have her period til she's 18.

from the preload I thought this was just some shitty MS Paint animation by a 12-year-old or something

Maggot Brain - 2015-05-05

Please tell me that this is a tax scam.

My brain keeps wanting to think that the title is Girlstuff/Buttstuff.
