didn't he also die in 'beat girl' ? or was he just arrested?

Jet Bin Fever - 2015-06-11

I knew it was coming soon given his age, but man what a life he lived. May he rest in Valhalla with the metal gods.

Ohh.. he was always my favorite when I was a little kid right up there with Donald Pleasance, probably simply because they were in so many movies. As much as the new Hobbit movies might have sucked (I slept through most of one of them and didn't see the others) I think it was cool that Jackson and the crew went to great lengths to actually get him on camera, vs. other directors' decisions to CGI someone like Oliver Reed or just use stock footage of Marlon Brando and such.

I do feel bad about what I said last week about Frank Welker, and how he's been in hundreds more things than Lee, and how his appearance in The Hobbit was basically "phoning it in" vs. producing an hour's worth of dialogue.. having an entire crew travel halfway around the globe to film you isn't phoning it in, it's because you're loved. And you will always be. Plus wizards and draculas can't really die you know.

Sanest Man Alive - 2015-06-11

Ironically, the Wicker Man was one of the few he didn't die in.
