Everything about the Cluster is horrific and creepy and gives a new motivation to the Crystal Gems.

I don't think this freakshow was the "cluster" that's been mentioned before, if only because Peridot doesn't actually talk about that in this episode when she's logging about the fusion experiments.

I'm just going with what the fan wiki decided. Given how many curveballs this show throws I wouldn't be surprised if it's wrong.
