My fox Otherkin battle buddy wasn't very good at PT, but that was on account of his sunken chest, not his fur. Which he didn't have, because he was a human (pre-op h2f). He was still able to sweat as "normal", although we did not like to point that out, because bringing up topics of biology is rather impolite, and species is ultimately just a social construct anyway.

That said, I can't imagine wolf or fox fur would be much worse than MOPP gear, particularly since foxes and wolves would be expected to maintain grooming standards by shaving their body hair down to less than a quarter of an inch, so as not to interfere with the wearing of uniforms. The biggest problem might be wearing protective masks, since being canids, respiration would have to take place via panting, and I suspect that excessive panting within a confined area would cause problems for the military wolffox. I'm not certain, though; I know they make gas masks for dogs, does anybody here know how well dogs perform while wearing them?

My guess is dogs perform pretty well.. they've been wearing them since WWI (I think) and during the Madison riots they were all over the place. The only thing they removed from the street were the horses. Like, they make masks for horses too, and at least you can still have that elevation.. setting dogs loose like that was one of the many horrible ideas the cops had that year.

I kind of blame Drive By Truckers for the insurgence of shitty country with a deeper message than the halcyon days of shitty country like Garth Brooks or Alan Jackson. But I guess that's like blaming Radiohead for Coldplay, Arcade Fire for Imagine Dragons or The Pogues for Mumford and Sons..
