He's abusing his grow house access again!

I'm about as close to straightedge as is possible while still being able to make fun of straightedgers without hypocrisy.

I'm not sXe, I'm just a lightweight. I did drink a big bottle of Ovila a couple weeks ago, and I'll smoke a bit of weed now and again but I'll also go for a year or two without touching the stuff pretty regularly, especially as I get older and it mostly makes me sleepy.



I will admit that last night's Finnish invasion was partially inspired by a half shot of Everclear from my tool cabinet. I'm done finishing for the next 6 months at least, so I didn't need it around for mixing shellac.

I'm a lightweight too, it's a better way of life. Getting high is like getting drunk to me, I can't imagine actually doing something creative while fucked up.

I didn't know Everclear was still around, I assumed it would have killed its host by now.

Everclear is legal in some states, and Rhode Island is one of them. Which is great, because the additives in denatured alcohol both make the shellac come out a bit funny and make it toxic to handle. Enough Everclear to finish a half dozen guitars is about .

A few years ago I met a woman who is considered one of the best French polishers in the country, and she said she had been thinking about starting a still just because it's so hard to get quality grain alcohol in New York, so I guess I'm lucky to have such easy access to it.

That's what makes it rebellious.
