Looks like she didn't start slandering the victim and his family until they (justifiably) dragged her shitty parenting into the ring. She's got some smug indifference going on re: her own son's awfulness; she seems to think that as long as she doesn't hear about the horrible shit her kid does, and it isn't thrown back on her, her status as Good Parent would remain intact, and that's the only thing she actually cares about.

Am I the only one who thought it sounded like something she just made up when she said she'd been praying for them? This woman raised a sociopath, she doesn't strike me as having a bone in her body that feels for these people or anything they are going through.

Yeah, I didn't believe for one second that she did any actual praying... not that praying for someone is that big a deal in the first place.

I doubt this is anything as complex as some kind of coping mechanism.

She's trying desperately/stupidly to avoid any jail time or a civil lawsuit.
