This is how I like my police: honestly trying to protect the people in his town, catching some punkass kid who broke into a beloved local restaurant. Not a single piece of surplus military gear in sight.
I think everyone would be better off if police were actually part of their communities, instead of self-appointed petty dictators over it.

Old_Zircon - 2015-07-28 A lot of the problems in society are a direct result of the people who govern communities being completely detached from the communities they govern.
You would be surprised how many federal representatives don't even really live in the states they represent, much less the districts.
