The way it 'splashes' is amazing.

But how did he know it was coming? Must be in league with the Soviets and their weather machine!

Cloud poop would be a great name for a software platform.

Cool! I was actually just talking to someone from Tuscon who was visiting Portland, and it kind of sounds cool, in a weird way, sort of like Salt Lake City is actually pretty cool despite the preconceived notions, like Mormons everywhere and "Utah Beer". In fact, SLC had the best IPA beer I've ever had, and everyone I met was pretty cool.

I dunno, every town has its stigmas, but I'd sort of rather be surrounded by crazy old people and people who believe that Jesus came down in a UFO or whatever than a whole bunch of people who talk down at you because you didn't know who produced which Arcade Fire album..

We've been having a lot of short, sudden storms in western Michigan. One time during the night it felt like god was living next door and being a dick with his sprinkler because it literally rained like this for 20 seconds and stopped as suddenly as it began.

Yeah, it was the same when I was living in Wisconsin. We'd just be out at the park or something and boom you just got soaked. And you spend the rest of an otherwise sunny day soaking wet and finding a friend who has a dryer, hoping you can salvage your soaking wet laptop and cellphone.. Ah, memories.

Like in Oregon the rain can come pretty quickly, and it does rain pretty hard, but you at least see it coming, even if sometimes it's about as quick as you'd look both ways before crossing the street. But in the midwest it's like being at a crosswalk and the Delorean just reappearing at 88 miles an hour hitting you head-on, and then it's gone again.

Whoa whoa whoa, Tucson is like the one bastion of hope in the state. All the crazies are up in the Phoenix suburbs.

Slumgullion - 2015-08-17

I'd have to agree with 1394. Tucson is not so full of crazies. You're thinking of Maricopa county, home of Mesa, Chandler, Sun City, Joe Arpaio, and sadly, Phoenix.
