Theres 11 season on total. Its all pretty consistently really good imo (with a few dud episodes) They did some fun random stuff like changed the name of the show for each of the later seasons. They went with..

In my mind that's exactly how it happened. For a while there it was my favorite show: I was high as fuck and 19 but it doesn't matter. Mothmonsterman, Happy Time Harry, the first Mooninites episode and Universal Remonster are still some of the best things that were ever on TV. The movie was like the Simpsons Movie too: not great but a nice sort of cameo-gasm I guess.. But nope. It kept going and going and got worse with every episode.

I guess the song gives it away, but I won't spoil anything.. It's kind of bittersweet and very unfunny. At least they knew when to twist the knife instead of wait around for the other shoe to fall.

I think I had a very different experience with athf than most people. I didnt watch it when I was in college and stoned, some of my friends did but I thought it was the most stupid thing ever + I really detested the practice of getting high and then just sit watching tv. In my mind if your gonna take drugs you should take advantage of the experience and go out and have an adventure.

Years later (when I was bored) I was kinda wondering that maybe I'd missed out on that show so I started watching it. I didnt like it at 1st but gradually got into it and I've loved it ever since.
Strangely I thought the show was bad at 1st and then improved as it went on but when I went back to watch the early episodes again I found them to be good, so it was just my appreciation of it that changed.

The show grew on me too. I initially hated it cause the intro showed them going on awesome adventures unlike the actual show.

I enjoyed what I saw of it but it seemed like every time I caught it on TV it was an episode I'd already seen a million times, which is why I thought it had just been in reruns for years.

I remember giving up on this show when my old roommates and I got high as fuck and went to go see the movie. Good god that was a letdown.

I ignored it until literally two weeks ago, when I caught an episode after Rick & Morty finished about Carl and Frylock using a magic fountain to switch bodies with animals from a pet store. You had to piss in the fountain while looking into the eyes of the one you wanted to switch with, then wait for lightning to strike your piss.

I didn't think the show still had it in itself to make me laugh, but dang if that wasn't a really good ep of ATHF. Carl is and always will be the best part of that show.

Ep was "Rabbit, Not Rabbot"

I stuck with it. It's like Purple Cat says - some dud episodes or generally unfunny cameo characters, and then some comedic gold. It's mostly just when they're fucking around that the best materials happens. Which is most of the time.
