Since I'm drinking a Hamms at the moment (4.49 for a six pack), Hamms is the second best of the national piss beers, especially with grapefruit or orange juice. Save yourself 4 bucks at the bar by getting a Hamms tallboy and a pintglass with a little bit of grapefruit juice in it instead of a Steigel or Schofferhofer!

infinite zest - 2015-09-13 The "Land of Sky Blue Waters" refers to Minnesota, but these days it's brewed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It's a Midwest thing but there's always been a fierce rivalry between the two states (and Wisconsin and Chicago but not the state of Illinois) but I got mine at a Plaid Pantry.
The first best national piss beer is Rainier. Mostly because of this commercial which I'm sure is on poetv but I'm lazy and kinda drunk now so I ain't searchin' shit!

Scrimmjob - 2015-09-13 From my experience Sconnies' have an undying hatred for FIB's (Fucking Illinois Bastards), for some unknown reason. Probably sports rivalries?
Anyway, Hamms is cheap as shit, and it tastes slightly less terrible than most of it's competitors.

betabox - 2015-09-14 It's more that rich Illinoisances (mainly from Chicagoland) buy vacation land here so that they can drive like maniacs to get to it on Friday afternoons and spend a 'relaxing' weekend being assholes before going back Sunday evening.
At least that's why I always thought FIBs were so hated.

infinite zest - 2015-09-14 Oh yeah! I totally forgot about "FIB" but my dad in law used to say it all the time until I finally asked. It's probably other parts too, but a lot of people who work in Chicago bought condos in Milwaukee because the train commute to Chicago is only 45 minutes or so, raising the rent and the need for more condos, like some sort of reverse gentrification. But I guess it's the same in Oregon; people curse California and Washington license plates when in fact they're really just bitching about 3 or 4 cities, but nobody's going to commute from Portland to Seattle or San Francisco daily like they do in Milwaukee..
