This whole series... man... there's something about it that makes me feel deeply uncomfortable. It's possible that I'm just a prick, but I'd like to think that's not it. I get a really condescending and exploitative vibe off it, but it's hard for me to put a finger on exactly why. Just... something about it is very distasteful.
Maybe it's got something to do with the click-bait-iness of having these people get naked for the sake of a strained and totally unnecessary metaphor.
Don't you, the consumer, feel inspired by the heartwarming and potentially viral stories of these poor, pitiable freaks? Don't you feel the connection between our fashion products and warm fuzzy acceptance of those less pretty than you? What is wrong with you, consumer?
What the fuck does taking your clothes off have to do with any sort of actual relation to these people? Why can't they just tell their stories and have us get to know them like we would with most people without having to take their clothes off? What a bunch of dumb condescending bullshit.
