This seems silly and pleasant.

Wait, theres a 3 now? I thought the guy just made that one set in Victorian times or whatever.

It's not released yet - this is from a public access online stress test. But yeah, they sort of have them on an assembly line now. It will bother me when they start sucking and not before.

No, this one will be different. It will be really hard with a bunch of enemies that aimbot and home constantly as a substitute for actual game design and...oh wait, that was the first two.

Is this good? After I killed Snuffleupagus or whatever in MGSV I just went around scaring goats with decoys and stuff.. I might need something new and I'm thinking this or Skyrim

@StanleyPain
I thought dark souls seemed like a good action rpg. I didnt play much of it but I can can see why it seemed amazing to people who only played consoles or missed more obscure pc games since the 90's.
I really really liked the level design.
I thought the boss fights were atrociously bad and wreck the game. They were very consoley, after setting up the pretty well implemented and realistic style fighting mechanics against the regular enemies the boss fights completely subvert and undo all that work.
They rely on memorising attack patterns and tells which is ridiculous and boring and repetitive as fuck and not fun.
They are totally unrealistic, ie why doesnt the giant boss could just squish you immediately, also the safest place to be in many cases is right next to the boss. You cannot reason about them logically.
I guess the developers couldnt think of anything better and lacked imagination there.

@zest, get naissancee !! Its a criminally overlooked game and only costs €13 on steam.

Ooh! Looks cool! But right now I'm just looking for XB360.. My computer can handle Mint itself and very little else.. even Warcraft 2 runs kinda slow in Wine :(

Purple Cat's comment about Dark Souls is pretty dead on, but I think he undersells two of Dark Souls' good points.
First, the non-boss combat is really, really good. It's weird how the "scrub" enemies are the really fun ones: you often need to have a sharp eye (or have the level memorized) to see them in the first place, and even when you know they're there, the combat system really is awesome. It's a shame that much of the combat system is thrown away for many (most?) of the boss fights.
Second, the atmosphere in the game is superb. Everything from the art direction to the sound effects to the ways the game plays with visibility to the weird obtuse way the game tells its story... it all comes together for an amazing experience.

...and then you fight a boss.

But then the game goes back to being amazing.
