GARY!

I love seeing Gary on Twitter.

Bort - 2015-12-06

Oh god that dog.

I laugh at Gary but I know Carrie loves it just as I love my useless beasts, and so I can't help but feel some affection for Gary by proxy.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2015-12-06

That was great but not nearly as great as Harrison Ford surprising Star Wars fans over Skype.

Also, has anyone else heard the rumor Luke may be the villain this time around? He's not in the trailer!

infinite zest - 2015-12-06

I think my favorite of the Force for Change campaign ads was when Hamill dressed up like a Stormtrooper and just blended in with everybody else on Hollywood Boulevard, asking people who everyone's favorite Star Wars character was (spoiler Harrison Ford won). It's so humble and awesome. He never even reveals himself.

Yeah that's been my theory for a while now. Plus Hamill likes playing bad guys. It would explain Leia and Han's sad embrace in the trailer too, since the possible "daughter" doesn't seem to have defected or anything, and the Kylo Ren is Luke's son makes perfect sense, but Luke's the one pulling the strings, disenfranchised with the Jedi just like father like son.. I'm a little jealous of my little brother because he won tickets to see it on opening night and is taking his friend, but I'm playing it pretty cool, I think. I'll just have to remember to stay off the infowebs for a week or so.

Bort - 2015-12-06

I hope Luke doesn't turn evil, but I'd be fine if he were opposed to rebuilding the Jedi Order, which might put him at odds with everyone else. While I'm not looking for keen political debate, I wouldn't mind if the good guys had legitimate differences of opinion and were simply trying to do what each felt was best.

spikestoyiu - 2015-12-07

The fact that Mark never reveals himself made me feel like it wasn't him in the stormtrooper getup.

infinite zest - 2015-12-07

Could be, but I'd be pretty hesitant about being mobbed by thousands of people, and some of those costumed people seem pretty mentally unstable. There's fights that break out all the time. But I would've loved to see Darth Vader's reaction if he revealed himself.

As for Luke being bad, I dunno. People are speculating that he might actually be Rilo Ken, and the actor playing him being some sort of Jedi Mind Trick, which is a little far fetched. Thing is, if Luke had stayed on Yoda's planet, like he was ordered to, his friends would've died much like Anakin's mom did. Besides seeing his father die (and helping to an extent) he didn't suffer the same emotional pain that his father did. Maybe he's just gone rogue too.

I actually had a dream that I decided to see Star Wars on opening day, since for whatever reason I didn't have to go to work. I pretty much continued to get in the wrong line, really boring dream. I'm thinking I can maybe sneak it in on Monday for a matinee since I don't work until 4, as I doubt people are quitting their jobs so they can wait in line the way they did with the Phantom Menace. The economy and job market was a lot better then.

Two Jar Slave - 2015-12-06

Hot.

Meerkat - 2015-12-06

I know, Carrie Fischer was totally hitting on her right?

EvilHomer - 2015-12-06

Ummm, why would she be hitting on Gary, I think she owns that dog already.

jimmyboblahey - 2015-12-06

Dec 4 2015 huh? I guess they know nobody wants to watch their shit race-baiting movie. I wonder how much they paid this old whore to shill a movie she's not in or interested in.

BillLumbergh - 2015-12-06

Go and fuck yourself.

bawbag - 2015-12-06

Hey, it's stormfront.org's lost idiot jimmehblahblahey!

I have a question for you: When yourself and your skinhead friends gather in the carpark for a good old meth-assisted circlejerk & assfuck party, does the moonlight bouncing off all those twinkie butts and bald heads not get very confusing?

Scrimmjob - 2015-12-06

What makes it a "race baiting" movie anyway? There's one black guy in it?

Stopheles - 2015-12-06

Because almost everyone in the movie is white, some of the people who are shot by lasers...ARE WHITE!!!

jimmyboblahey - 2015-12-06

hey bawbag, burns are meant to be funny. just a heads up

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2015-12-06

As someone who actually likes circlejerks and assfuck parties, I kind of don't want those awesome things associated with jimmyboblahey.

Now, opposum assfuck parties, on the other hand, are a totally different ballgame.

Also, Lupita Nyongo is in this and she's cool. I am really looking forward to her parts. As for John Boyega, he was in Attack of the Block, which was a horribly underrated alien ass kicking film and I feel sorry for you if you hate good actors so much you don't want to see him in that or The Force Awakens.

jimmyboblahey - 2015-12-06

lol "Lupita Nyongo" she definitely fits into the star wars universe

Spaceman Africa - 2015-12-06

yes

ashtar. - 2015-12-07

"I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened."
―Obi-Wan Kenobi, referring to the Destruction of The White Race though vaguely implied interracial relationships in movies

spikestoyiu - 2015-12-07

How much do you want to bet this dude types the word "cuck" at least a hundred times a day while complaining about too many black aliens (two) on the Internet?

jimmyboblahey - 2015-12-07

ashtar gets it

yogarfield - 2015-12-07

bawbag - 2015-12-07

hell yes, a weak troll doesn't deserve more than a minimal effort putdown.

Glad to see someone else is a black books fan though, great show!

jimmyboblahey - 2015-12-07

Hey bawbag, tell us more about how youtube comments are stupid and about how politics are dumb. I'm fascinated by your input.
btw I'm a Black Books fan. What does that say about you?

bawbag - 2015-12-07

A poster whose sole posting tactic is to repeat 'JEWS AND NIGGERS NIGGERJEWS LOL LOL LMAO HEY GUYS LIBRALS ARE CANCER NIGGER JEW JEW SJW JEW' also happens to like a popular show, oh no, what -does- that say about me?

*ffffffffffffffffffffffffffaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrt*

BHWW - 2015-12-06

Are the Jedi evil? Leia renouncing the title of "princess" (civil authority) for "general" (military dictatorship) may be a sign. Jedi rule means a return to quasi-religious Napoleonic crypto-fascism throughout the galaxy.

cognitivedissonance - 2015-12-06

Jedi aren't so much "evil" as a decadent oligarchy that will hold on to power no matter how tenuous. They really do believe they're helping the galaxy out, but in reality, they're holding it back and preventing real democracy from happening (although, to be fair, democracy on a GALACTIC LEVEL is a ludicrous concept). The Jedi openly allow the Hutts to exist as middlemen, in a strange theological corporate/mafia halfbreed. The Jedi get to act like they're holy champions, the Hutts get to rule the hinterland planets. Compare the Jedi to the Bene Jesserit in Dune... you get a similarly end of existence sort of decadence.

Meanwhile, the Emperor instituted a single galactic currency, an effective martial law, and minimized the presence of the Hutt mafia except in extremely out of the way planets. While technically racist, fascist and monolithic, Emperor Palpatine rules his galaxy in a vastly superior and more rational way than the Emperor in Dune does. In a way, the Guildsmen and the Hutts are very similar organizations, although the Guildsmen provide a more practical service and thus justify their existence a little better.

infinite zest - 2015-12-06

Was she a princess after A New Hope though? Her planet was destroyed. You don't get to say you're president of anything when there's a coup d'etat or your government is overthrown, even though people might still acknowledge you as such when you're walking down the street in Brazil and you're all like "shh.."

ashtar. - 2015-12-07

Not to mention that Jedi flip out and turn all evil at the drop of a hat all the fucking time.

TeenerTot - 2015-12-07

I'm actually enjoying reading these comments. God help me.

jimmyboblahey - 2015-12-07

Basically the jews I mean jedis are a new age mage order who don't give a fuck about the people of the universe. Jedis are what happens if you give hippie wiccans money, power, and laser swords. They care more about their stone-age religion and their weird old rituals (not allowed to be married = fucking little boys) than the well-being of those of whose care they are entrusted. They sit in their little rabbi-rooms (bath-houses full of young boys) and murmur endlessly about pointless things while normal everyday space people are being murdered. They're also sjws. Notice how almost every sentence a jewdi starts is about how he 'feels' and what he thinks and I get the feeling that this and that. They let green tentacle monsters into their ranks because of "the force" (systematic institutionalized white supremacy), some intangible thing that we just have to accept is a reality, even though the whole time they've been bullshitting. Acting like magical godlings when midi-chlorians (the bell curve) are a very obviously observable phenomenon. They're liars and cheats and terrible leaders. They dress in robes. Gas the rebels Death Star now. Palpatine did nothing wrong.

ashtar. - 2015-12-07

cool story, bro

Callamon - 2015-12-07

That was fucking baller.
