This is like a comic parable of why I can't take transgenderism seriously.

Meerkat - 2015-12-07

It should be a comic parable of why you can't take ChrisChan seriously.

EvilHomer - 2015-12-07

Fair enough SDC, but I think the reaction from the trans community (or at least the trans-troll community) is the "comic parable etc." for me. A lot of trans people are quick to dismiss and marginalize Christine, apparently because she's embarrassing to them - an irony which seems to be lost on them.

Again, I've only ever heard from trans-TROLLS, so I don't know if Chrisophobia is common amongst the trans-community as a whole, OR just amongst the small subset of trannies-who-are-also-haters-of-Chris. However, anecdotally, it does seem like the online trans community is quick to ostracize anyone who might make the rest of them look bad.

Sexy Duck Cop - 2015-12-07

My biggest problem with trans-people is that they will launch into their autobiography at a moment's notice. You ask them what they bought for Black Friday and it's like "MY QUEST FOR IDENTITY BEGAN WHEN I WATCHED A SHAMPOO COMMERCIAL AS A CHILD...."

And then you ask them if they got good deals on Amazon and they pull out a rucksack full of hardbound editions of their memoirs as they wink and say "HOW'S THIS FOR A BLACK FRIDAY DEAL???? ;)"

Spaceman Africa - 2015-12-07

I don't think you've met a trans person

misterbuns - 2015-12-08

fortunately for trans people you don't fucking mean a thing.

Chocolate Jesus - 2015-12-08

i've met almost all the trans people and i can confirm SDC's story

wtf japan - 2015-12-07

The music really makes this. So festive.

Dr Robot - 2015-12-07

This guy...

oddeye - 2015-12-07

wait, so is he really trans now? I thought he was just being trolled to wear a bra or some shit.

Does he still like girls then?

EvilHomer - 2015-12-07

Yes and yes. She is now a, quoted directly from Facebook, "Lesbian TransWoman: Female, Lesbian Soul in Male Body". Chris has been trans-curious for years (evidence suggests since childhood) but it was really after his father died that the transformation from man-to-lesbian kicked into high gear.

You may be thinking of the classic photos (c 2008) of him wearing his mom's bra and panties; yes, that was a troll, one of his fake sweethearts manipulated him into wearing them, if memory serves. But now Christine has her own bras, and she wears them for fun.

Meerkat - 2015-12-07

You know, it would be easier to just be a tranvestite; then you can still dress like a lady and hump chicks.

baleen - 2015-12-07

Oh, are those the rules?
I thought it didn't matter and anyone could invent whatever gender roles they wanted to regardless of their sex.

I didn't know there was a hierarchy of importance where some trans people were more authentically trans than other trans people. Where can I find some literature informing me of what trans people I should take seriously and what trans people I should not take seriously? I really want to know because I don't want to step on any heels.

jimmyboblahey - 2015-12-07

baleen confirmed for dick-girl lover.

baleen - 2015-12-07

You choke on your sister's dick every morning, white trash.

jimmyboblahey - 2015-12-07

That's racist, classist, and you imply being in an open incestual relationship is a bad thing. Regressive as fuck imho. I hope Allah forgives you for your transgressions, bigot. Next thing I know you'll call me a closeted homosexual as an insult, insinuating that homosexuality is somehow immoral. Go listen to Fox News because it's 2015 you piece of cis-shit.

Meerkat - 2015-12-07

Hey man, I'm just sayin' it would be easier is all. You buy (or borrow/steal) some girly clothes and you're good to go!

You just have to make sure you hide your makeup in a tree.

baleen - 2015-12-08

WOW THAT WAS REALLY FUNNY JIMMLUBEY.
You are not the first jackass redneck/frat boy to stumble onto this site. Your opinions aren't important, your jokes aren't funny, and your attempts to troll the libtards aren't impressive, original, or effective.

Continue saying things, however, so that you can cement yourself in the annals of poetv history as another boring faggot that wandered lost from the internet onto a website that he didn't understand. If you're lucky, you might become an inside joke that we can amuse ourselves with when someone submits, for example, a video clip of Donald Trump drooling over himself in a drunken stupor. Won't that be fun!

Also, choke on a dick.

jimmyboblahey - 2015-12-07

The face of liberalism.

Cena_mark - 2015-12-07

Even the most basic Christorians know that Christine is still rather conservative.

Enjoy - 2015-12-07

I'm not entirely convinced he's trans-gendered. I think he looked down, one day, and saw boobs growing out of his chest and decided he must then be a woman.

jimmyboblahey - 2015-12-07

Exactly. The face of liberalism.

Cena_mark - 2015-12-07

She's taking hormones, you see it right there in the video. She's not like MALES like you or I.

baleen - 2015-12-07

Jimmybobloogey is a closet homosexual.

misterbuns - 2015-12-08

this is more like the ass of liberalism. Shitting directly into your mouth. You love it. This is forever.

EvilHomer - 2015-12-07

So today on break, I was painting a grisaille sketch of Christine, and I got to discussing our hero with a friend of mine - an elderly man from the MS ward. This fellow is an extremely intelligent man, he's a fan of my art, and he and I have had many fascinating discussions before.

My friend refused to believe Chris was real.

He said, and I quote, "this fellow sounds like one of the Kardashians, possibly a Justin Bieber or even a Madonna". By this he meant that he doubted Chris' authenticity. Chris, my friend exclaimed, was almost certainly just a bad-boy anti-celebrity ACTOR, putting on airs in order to garner attention and dupe audiences into consuming her stuff. I tried telling him, no no, Chris is the real deal, this is REALLY how she is; her sincerity and autistic commitment to 100% unfiltered honesty, no matter how embarrassing, is in fact what makes her art so valuable (despite the fact she can barely draw a straight line). He *sort of, kind of* let his skepticism abate after I explained to him that, no, Christine doesn't really make any money off her antics, she lives on disability and whatever cash her retired mother can scrape together - but he was still unwilling to believe that Christine was an authentic person, and clearly thought that I was a bit looney for believing in this stuff.

So my question is, how do the rest of you explain the things that you've seen? ChrisChan, obviously, any of you who've had to explain ChrisChan to the uninitiated will certainly understand my dilemma here - but really it could be an explanation about anything, any exhibit you've watched over the years. We have, all of us, seen some pretty fucking bizarre crap thanks to the internet and our friends on the PoE Network; much of this stuff, from anal vore to otherkin to that guy who makes all the Winnie the Pooh fanime shorts, difficult to believe.

If you've ever been called on to explain some of these surreal alternate-realities we've seen... how do you do so in a convincing manner? And, is it perhaps for the best if people *don't* believe you?

jimmyboblahey - 2015-12-07

You say "she" and "her", but then you dead-name her by calling her "Chris". I'm fucking disgusted. Bigot.

EvilHomer - 2015-12-07

You're right, Mister Lahey, I am inconsistent when referring to Chris, and I sincerely apologize if I offended you (that was not my intention). I usually use feminine names/pronouns to refer to modern-day Christine, and masculine names/pronouns to refer to Classic Chris. Also, I will often choose my pronouns according to which other people I am discussing, simply for the sake of clarity; e.g. if I were to discuss Chris and Megan in the same sentence, I might use "he" for Chris and "she" for Meg, while if I was discussing Chris and Bob, I might use "she" for Christine and "he" for Bob.

And then sometimes I fuck up, or just say screw it, because who cares? Tolerance means tolerating ALL people, be they trans or bigots.

jimmyboblahey - 2015-12-07

What matters is that you apologized, although I sincerely hope you CHECK YOURSELF BEFORE YOU SPEAK in the future. You could have literally caused a suicide tonight and I hope that weighs heavily on you in the years to come.

EvilHomer - 2015-12-07

You jest, Mr Lahey, but like all good satire, there's definitely a kernel of truth there! I myself have encountered people who act exactly as you pretend to do - only without the irony or self-awareness - and I think it is important for people to keep the dangers of faux-liberal sanctimony in mind.

jimmyboblahey - 2015-12-07

Is it really faux, though?

Dr Robot - 2015-12-07

:)

EvilHomer - 2015-12-07

I would say yes, Mr Lahey. "Liberalism" has become one of the most debased and poorly-defined words in contemporary political discourse, but when I use the word I like to use it properly - to refer to classical liberalism - and I do not think that sanctimonious, anti-individualistic speech policing has a place in that sort of liberalism. Of course, as a liberal, I can't FORCE anyone to use the word "liberal" properly, which is one of the reasons why, memetically, authentic liberalism is pretty much dead.

Anyways, I notice you have not answered my question yet. Have you ever had to explain any internet weirdos to your (presumably right-wing) friends? How have you done this, and how have your tales (of liberal debauchery?) been received?

jimmyboblahey - 2015-12-07

I'd say fascism is a more debased and poorly-defined word. It's commonly misunderstood by scarfed college communists who frequent online communities and tweet updates about their Subway experience.

EvilHomer - 2015-12-07

Yes, that's another one. I have actually had discussions with Mr Bort about that particular word; I generally use "fascism" in its pejorative, vernacular sense - meaning any and all authoritarian systems - but technically fascism has a very specific historical meaning, one which SHOULD be viewed as neutrally as possible, and the Left in particular (probably as a result of lingering holdovers from Marxist-Leninist thought) often has a hard time using that word in any meaningful way.

BUT MY QUESTION, SIR! I am genuinely interested in what you have to say, particularly since your perspective is such a unique one here on this website.

Cena_mark - 2015-12-07

Why are right wingers so concerned over percieved left wing PC oppression? Its not really forced, just requested as good manners. I mean fucking South Park made their entire latest season against it, since you know... PC has ruined thier lives in the past.

EvilHomer - 2015-12-07

It depends on the person and the country you're currently in, with the United States being generally more liberal (i.e. less PC) than other places - BUT DANGIT, CENA, NOT YOU TOO! You're getting off topic! We're discussing ChrisChan here.

jimmyboblahey - 2015-12-07

Ever notice how predominantly white countries are the most free? Ever notice how jews want predominantly white countries to start importing 18-40 y/o combat-ready male "refugees", promote race-mixing with the lowest common denominator, and censor any alternative thoughts under the guise of PC and tolerance? Almost like they want a grey goyim slave-race to act as cattle, workers, and whores.
Just an observation. But about Chris-chan. That guy's a real character.

EvilHomer - 2015-12-07

She sure is! Here's the painting, in case anyone is curious.

http://fav.me/d9jdy4z

On the whole I am pleased so far, but I screwed up a bit on her upper lip, and now she's starting to look like Jake the Snake. :(

jimmyboblahey - 2015-12-07

Nice. You sell posters?

Cena_mark - 2015-12-07

Nice painting. You certainly bring out her unhealthy jaundiced complexion.

EvilHomer - 2015-12-07

Thank you, Cena and Jimbob! Jimbob, no I do not, but one day, maybe, when I get good at it. Cena, it's not TOO jaundiced, I hope? I'm still interested in Sonichu merch, and I was thinking that maybe Chris would be willing to do an art trade. He probably wouldn't, but I want to make sure it's as flattering as possible to improve my odds.

Cena_mark - 2015-12-07

If that's your goal, then I'd say you'd have to be more flattering. Just consider how Christine has drawn him/herself over the years. If you want to do an art trade, use one his recent self portraits as a guideline.

Boomer The Dog - 2015-12-07

Good painting Homer, and I see how the eye detail is sharper than the rest of the picture. With your knowledge of the Human eye, you could do some cool Doggie morphs, or other animals.

I come at doing portraits from the Dog side, so I haven't learned the anatomy of the Human eye that well to draw it clearly, though I can hack something together to make a morphic eye.

On screen with Photo Impact and CG, I can take eye structures and blend them to Human-animal, so I'm getting to it that way.

One of my early inspirations were Coolidge's Poker Dogs pictures, which use the structure around the eye to add a lot of the character those pictures have.

Thanks for showing your art!

Boomer

dairyqueenlatifah - 2015-12-07

Every time I think he's finished, he starts all over.

Scrotum H. Vainglorious - 2015-12-07

jimmyboblahey is the new Cena Mark.

Cena_mark - 2015-12-07

Hold up, I was never that nasty, abusive, or stupid.

jimmyboblahey - 2015-12-07

or funny

Scrotum H. Vainglorious - 2015-12-07

You're right Cena, sorry about that.

dairyqueenlatifah - 2015-12-08

But I love Cena.
