Who on poetv didn't like this guy again?

infinite zest - 2015-12-11

Not sure, but I think our collective crush on Erik causes some tension and jealousy :)

I don't like the stupid "it's a crime scene OMGZ you are destroying it!!1!!".

It was no longer a crime scene after the FBI told the owner he could go back in.

But that's the problem. No way around this pun but I remember it was a feeding frenzy at Jeffrey Dahmer's apartment complex in Milwaukee, and when I moved there I found out that they demolished the building because nobody wanted to live in it. It was like this weird guilty by association thing, because you happened to live one floor down from him. And that's what's going on here. The FBI said they had everything they needed but that doesn't stop them from wanting more (the media raid was also before the Islamic extremism motive had been determined) so why not show random pictures of friends' kids, a picture of the baby and grandma's social security card? Nothing bad could happen to them, since they weren't part of the investigation. Well guess what douchebags now they are.

Goddamnit solro you're such a moron.

Just about the least important thing here is whether or not he knew that they weren't tampering with evidence.

Live rummaging is not news. Get back to me if you have a newsworthy development in this case. Don't pad out your program with sensational non-news.

IZ, did you see that movie "The Jeffrey Dahmer Files" that came out a few years back? The marketing made it look like a TRU-TV grade true-crime thing but it's actually really good, one of my favorite contemporary documentaries actually. The interviews with the woman who lived across the hall from him are amazing, especially when she talks about hearing that he was murdered in prison and crying over the tragedy of the whole thing and not understanding how people could celebrate any murder, even his. A woman who was without a doubt secretly fed human flesh on at least one occasion. Puts a lot in to perspective.

I haven't but I might try to track it down. I don't know if I mentioned this before on here, but my Aunt remains one of the US' biggest cold cases, with all signs pointing to Ed Gein. It's really hard for me to watch this since I see the same picture whenever I'm over at my parents' house, but here's a documentary:

I mostly remember getting a lot of calls when I was a kid from vulture journalists who wanted to speak with my folks, to which they declined. So I might be a little biased when it comes to rooting around and looking for facts when the fact of the matter is what's done is done, but that's why. So my thoughts are with the grandmother and the child, and that they can escape the inevitable trolling that comes with "investigative reporting."

The 1940s reporter voice at 2:20 alone wins my stars.

I'm glad he pointed out the footage of vultures eating a wildebeest carcass. I couldn't tell the difference between it an the real footage.

'Bad journalism' is a redundant statement.
