EvilHomer - 2015-12-17

When is that movie coming out?

infinite zest - 2015-12-17

Whenever the force decides to wake up.

Two Jar Slave - 2015-12-17

Hang in there, PoeTV. Another week or two of noisy mastication will soon give way to years of relatively quiet digestion. We've almost survived this.

infinite zest - 2015-12-17

Freeze at 2:52. That is clearly a young Snowy Stinkmonster, and notice the shape underneath? DARTHSTAR!

Oscar Wildcat - 2015-12-17

Is there a branded piece of plastic I can buy of it?

EvilHomer - 2015-12-17

I've been thinking about it a lot lately, and I have come to the conclusion that Brain is my favorite fictional dog.

Who is yours?

jangbones - 2015-12-17

Chewbacca

infinite zest - 2015-12-17

A tie between Rexxx from Firehouse Dog and Kelsey from Doggie Tails.

Two Jar Slave - 2015-12-17

I don't much like dogs, so... Old Yeller.

cognitivedissonance - 2015-12-17

My favorite fictional dog is Pongo.

My favorite non-fictional dog is Boomer.

Sanest Man Alive - 2015-12-17

Interceptor from FF6

chumbucket - 2015-12-17

Littlest Hobo, all incarnations.

Boomer The Dog - 2015-12-18

Wow, this thread! I like Brain too Homer, where he talks, but in a growly bark language. I got into the Firehouse Dog after watching it, you don't get as many Terrier leads in movies, it's said because herding breeds are seen to be more easily trained actors.

Pongo! My second Dog's name was Pongo after Dalmatian Dad Pongo, and it's a name I used for myself for a few years, right before Boomer. I thought of Pongo being an old and different kind of name than you hear as a Dog's name, so I took to it, and besides, I liked the character. Thanks otherwise.. :)

Littlest Hobo, I was late to the game seeing his shows, but yes for sure.

I've thought of Chewbacca as a Dog too! Only much later did I hear George's story about Chewie being based on his Malamute, Indiana, and hadn't originally seen that 'making of' special when that was stated.

Boomer

Brain was probably the smartest one I can think of, except maybe Laddie from Discworld. But I also like Blood from Ellison's Boy and his Dog, Argos from Homer's The Odyssey, Buck from Jack London and Married With Children (tie!) Ribsey from Beverly Cleary and Charley The Poodle from John Steinbeck is my favorite (but Charley was not fictional.) :)

EvilHomer - 2015-12-19

Arf arf arf!

(translation: hey Boomer! Yeah, I think you and I have barked about this before. My favorite oscillates between Brain and Tintin's Snowy.

One thing I may not have mentioned before is that, whenever I watched Inspector Gadget, Brain was my "insert character". I used to pretend I was Brain, which now that I think about it, may have been the earliest time I ever "thought" I was a dog!)

Boomer The Dog - 2015-12-21

Hi Homer! I notice that your site at Deviant seems to be more Doggish these days, your Dog in the top hat with pipe, and some of the picture choices up front seem to be.

I remember feeling something for Brain too, he's an appealing Dog after you get to know him, with interesting expressions, and I like how Penny can understand what he's saying, even though he talks in a Dog-type language.

Maybe he's even a kind of Bully breed, but I have to see what he looks like again, I always saw him as a mutt, and no one mentioned his breed..

I don't know first Dog I was. Certainly when I saw Shaggy DA at 11, I was a Sheepdog, but a few years before that was way into the Jungle Book and the wolf society, and was a Dog fan, so I must have thought of myself as some breed, likely putting myself in the paws of Dogs I knew at the time.

That guy - 2015-12-17

Can we change the title?

That guy - 2015-12-17

And the description? And that tag??

SolRo - 2015-12-17

Guessing you want to change it to "All of poetv loves Star Wars"?

Sanest Man Alive - 2015-12-17

I think "im just so tired of all these star wars" is already a tag, but don't quote me on it.

That guy - 2015-12-17

I would even settle for "The No St*r W*rs Brain Space Video".
Beggars can't be choosers.

poorwill - 2015-12-19

Just got back from seeing it. I felt it started strong and started to dip a bit around the time Han Solo showed up. It's a good movie overall, looking forward to the sequel.
