Too bad he didn't happen to pass Martin Shkreli.

chumbucket - 2015-12-30

Between this and the mall riots I'm reminded how happy I am I don't live in that crazy ass city anymore.

memedumpster - 2015-12-30

There is an interesting chance you have been party or witness to me being carried out of a bar.

I am dubious about the mall riots, I can't find any really meaty cellphone footage of it, which implies it may be overblown.

The Mothership - 2015-12-30

Would he have gotten away with it if he hadn't have bragged? *shudder* 5 evil stars earned.

EvilHomer - 2015-12-30

"Police recording"? What's up with that? It's by far the most noteworthy statement from this news story, and yet, no attempt is made to explain it.

Was this the result of some kind of bizarr-o Thrill Kill sting operation?

memedumpster - 2015-12-30

This would make a good PSA for such practices. "We here at Policestat(TM) have to hear some seriously fucked up shit, please, keep that in mind when throwing saliva at us."

EvilHomer - 2015-12-30

Have you heard anything more about this, meme? I can only think of three ways in which this might have gone down: either - Fat Pasty Murderer was planning this out with a friend, and EVENTUALLY said friend got cold feet and decided to go to the cops with their chat logs, or - this was one of those warrantless-wiretap Gestapo things which we proles are now supposed to think of as being good and natural, or - as I said above, it's a thrill kill sting operation; like maybe some cops went undercover on a "I Want to be a Serial Killer 4 Realsies" subreddit, and this was the result of their cutting-edge investigation.

There's this whole other story going on here, and yet no effort is made to explain any of it. Fuckin' WKLY!

memedumpster - 2015-12-30

His friend who received the call was stationed on a military base in New Jersey, the police probably just requested a copy of the call from them. I doubt he was an ex accomplice.

EvilHomer - 2015-12-30

That must be a pretty great friendship; feeling so comfortable that you can just call him up and casually describe the way you murdered a homeless man.

It's nice to have friends.

Cena_mark - 2015-12-30

Truly is the magic of friendship. I'll bet Applejack would even go so far as to let Pinkamina hide her victims in the orchard.

That guy - 2015-12-30

just gonna leave stars and scoot on out of here, no need to listen to this

infinite zest - 2015-12-30

Yeah we both know where this is going. Back to cat videos and Happy New Year That guy :)

That guy - 2015-12-30

et vous aussi, monsieur

Binro the Heretic - 2015-12-30

Odd how they don't bring up the fact the killer is White and the victim was Black.

I'm not saying race was necessarily a factor for this guy choosing his victim. He might well have been genuinely selecting a victim at random. But you know if their ethnic backgrounds were transposed, there would be a whole lot of White people freaking out over this.

memedumpster - 2015-12-30

True, but this is Kentucky. Had this been racially motivated, that phone call recording would have had so many n-bombs that editing them out would have made him sound like Max Headroom. Rand Paul is literally the only Kentuckian that tries to downplay their own racism.

Cena_mark - 2015-12-30

This guy is exactly like the rich college kid villains from The Purge. I'm wondering if he chose a homeless person out of belief that he could get away with it easily, or was it due to some form of disdain towards those he saw as worthless. Maybe both. Either way this is extremely disturbing.

Anaxagoras - 2015-12-30

During the phone call, the killer says that he was wandering around "looking for a homeless guy". Sounds like this is mostly a socioeconomic thing. Of course, in America distinctions between race & class are often blurred, so YMMV.

Binro the Heretic - 2015-12-31

My point is, whatever their motives, the media makes a bigger deal of things when a Black person kills a White person.

Whenever that happens, the news is, like, "OH MY GOD! ALL BLACK PEOPLE ARE VIOLENT AND ALL WHITE PEOPLE SHOULD FEAR THEM!" And, as usual, whenever a White person kills a Black person, it's either, "Well, the Black person had it coming." or, "Well, it's just one lone nut."

dairyqueenlatifah - 2015-12-30

Well, that's what I call evil.

RedRust - 2015-12-30

Oh my G-d what a shitty knife to kill someone with. Knives like that can be found a cheap discount sporting goods stores and are dull as hell. Must suck to be on the receiving end of one of those.

Miss Henson's 6th grade class - 2015-12-31

Man, I feel like a terrible person when I'm sort of rude to somebody by accident, and this guy stabs a homeless guy to death and feels nothing? Where's the justice in that?

Oktay - 2015-12-31

I think psychopaths are wired differently, something is not connected in there.

yogarfield - 2022-12-10

What a stupid piece of shit.

He stabbed that guy 36 times, and says the only time he thinks about it is when he "wants to relive it".

And they gave him 30 years. This is not a person that should get to see the sky again.
