Dude I was talking about musical influences. I'm well aware that Suicide hasn't performed in forever and Bauhaus isn't a band anymore. Jesus. As for that comment, I hadn't read it but I assume that person is referring to the visual aesthetics and not the sound. But go ahead if you want, Harrod me up or whatever it is you're trying to prove.

It's not a 'really good cover'. It's a waste of time that doesn't even refer to the same subject matter of the original song. It's just a trash can rattling alley way bum fuck compared to the art of Bauhaus.

This isn't good because it's weird or difficult. It's shit because it's trying to be both of those things.

Shoulda read this thread first.. I don't wanna start some comment war or anything, but I like musicians who can do interesting covers. I was never super into Bauhaus or suicide since they were before my time, but recognized the lyrics right away, so I understand where you're coming from. It's trashy and awesome to me, but we might want to listen to different spotify channels. :)

It depends on what you like musically I guess. I think it's a really cool cover, after a minute or so, because if all covers were the same then what's the point? You'd wind up with Leftover Salmon and shit like that but for Goth. Needstodestroy's points are good too though, that maybe some things should be left alone.

Who gives a shit about the music? With a presentation like that they could be making a cacophony of hand fart noises and it'd be just as brilliant.

The point is that they suck. They suck so much better than anyone else though and with MUCH more interesting packaging.
