I think this album is probably his most solid in ages because, even though it's only 7 tracks, they just all feel really natural and honest and lack that kind of "generic rock" atmosphere that Tony Visconti always seems to force onto everything Bowie does (I don't think he's a particularly good producer for Bowie, personally, but obviously the man would disagree with me) I had hoped he might do another collaboration with Brian Eno before he died, but oh well.
When i heard he died I thought how weird and creepy it was that so many things on this album seemed geared towards Bowie dying soon afterwards, but I guess he knew he was not long for this world some time back.

Well, fuck me.
Baleen, you have front page privs. Post his goddamn cover of Jacque Brel's "My death". You know the one, from his last performance as Ziggy Stardust. I've been playing it on the six string all last week: who knew?

Woke up at 3:40 am to find this out. Watched this video. Vodka shots soon followed.
Yeah, as far as random celebrity deaths this was a bad one in the old Feelbone.

Only two celebrity deaths have made me tear up.
Fred Rogers and David Bowie.
Rest in peace.
