So he's switched his allegiance from his father's franchise to the vile Papa John's, eh? Treacherous fellow.

I had papa johns once and the sauce tasted sweet. I don't mean that as a qualifier I mean it tasted like it had candy in it or something.

I just don't know what to say about a pizza place that interoperates the concept of pizza that way.

That's how I always felt about Gumby's Pizza's sauce and dipping sauce for the breadsticks, but hey, you're stoned and it's 4 in the morning, and if you got jalapenos then the sweet and spicy work pretty good together. And the pizza was better (and cheaper) than PJ's. I actually always wondered why PJ's (which had a similar campus-based approach) took off like it did and Gumby's is still just kind of floating around college campuses. At least in Madison, nobody ever got Papa John's, always Gumby's. And campuses are a pretty good test market- I remember when there were no Qdobas anywhere only 15 years ago except for the one on my campus, but it beats Taco Bell at 4AM and now they're everywhere!

I wear my Sailor Cuff indoors all the time good sir! Heat's fuckin expensive.

3 though because I just voted this up thinking it was a review and not Sam doing whatever it is Sam does, because I find this kind of interesting. There was this little pizza place back in Madison Wisconsin (I think it's in Milwaukee now too) which was a hit because it'd have pizzas like Mac & Cheese (actual macaroni and cheese, mind you, on top of the pizza itself) and Steak & Fries (speaks for itself) and even "Sushi" pizza! It basically broke the mold that the Pizza Universe was stuck in, where something like Feta or GREEN (!??!) Olives felt like you were breaking some kind of unspoken Pizza Law. So it's kinda cool that Papa John's, the blandest of the bland in terms of Big Pizza, would undergo a similar Pizza Experiment.
