AMazing how a management class (Democrats) can't seem to understand that mobilizing people to vote for the interests of the management class turns the fucking workers off and leads to what happened in 2010.

Did you know that my choosing to vote for Jill Stein in the 2012 election is responsible for the near total abandonment of Mississippi by the modern-day Democratic Party in 2010 and the ENTIRE Tea Party wave sweeping into the White House in that year's Congressional election? Yep, you're right. My refusing to vote for the lesser evil and vote Democrat caused all that bullshit. Me, just me, right here. Not the rightward shift of the DNC and their derision towards their left wing base and working class voters. I will appropriately flog myself now in an approximation of the Catholic guilt the Democrats are trying to impose on me for not falling for their bullshit yet another time. Never mind that even if I had wanted to vote for a Democrat, last Congressional election there was no Democrat to vote for. Fuck these people. Whenever someone tells me they "vote with their conscience" all I hear is jerk off sounds. Because that's all it is: self-congratulation at the expense of accomplishing anything.

Okay, but just so we're really really really clear about this: Voting for a third party accomplishes nothing. Literally nothing. Nobody listens. Nobody cares. Your vote functionally does not exist. You affect more societal change posting comments in one of the circlejerk police brutality videos.

You can try to reframe this any way you want. Reality doesn't give a fuck. Your candidates are not elected, and the idea that your vote for a losing candidate sends any kind of "message" is ridiculous and naive on every conceivable level.

I don't know how I can dumb this down anymore.

In a real world with competing interest, politics is always going to be about compromises. And when the compromises are worked out, you know who gets left out? The uncompromising. But we all admire your conviction.

Anybody who can't figure out why people should bother to vote Democrat needs to watch the video again.

Sometimes the only reason to vote is to block the Republicans. Don't think that's reason enough? Watch that video 1 more time.
