This is funny because faggot is the name for a bundle of kindling, and back in the days of Davey Crockett he and similar trailblazers were known for their unbreakable spirit and fire in their bellies, and were affectionately called "faggots" without the homosexual connotation. Of course, the fact that Scott Thompson himself is in reality a gay man adds a whole new spin to it. Also, they can always plead ignorance, and claim the song is about a Davey Crockett-type trailblazer, and anyone who thinks the song is about a gay guy has a dirty mind!

Okay, I've got to say it: I've never understood the love for KitH. This was weak, like last-half-hour-of-SNL weak, when they're killing time with the crappiest material that nonetheless made the cut ... except this wouldn't have made the cut.
