Sometime around the year 2000, I saw the Hoff play this role on Broadway. I think we got the tickets free from someone. A German maybe? Anyway, I don't remember anything about it, not a damned thing.
Continuing our discussion of hair metal from that Guns N Roses video: I actually like Skid Row! They're one of the few hair bands I can listen to unironically (perhaps as high as second on my list of Least Intolerable Hair Metal Bands).
I had their first CD when I was 11. One night I put it on and watched the timer and realized that with the exception of one power ballad, all of the songs were essentially identical, right down to guitar solos that started at the same spot in the song, give or take 5 or 6 seconds. I learned a lot about pop music that day.
