When I saw the title "Donald Trump-Supporting Tow Truck Driver..." I thought it was going to be another case where the candidate they support and their politics has shit all to do with them being an asshole but then......

"God made me do it" was the icing on the cake though.

memedumpster - 2016-05-07

A Fat Disabled Female Bernie Supporter vs. a Redneck Male Trump Towtrucker.

OZ..., how..., wha... sir, you set hell itself aflame for the eternal torture of demons. Your fire is the ineffable wrath of God.

Teach me.

Old_Zircon - 2016-05-07

This shit's already blowing up, I did nothing.

Oscar Wildcat - 2016-05-07

These people are like Platonic Solids.

She's a Demodecohedron, he's a Trumpated Rhombus.

EvilHomer - 2016-05-08

The fat woman is already on disability and will probably stay on disability regardless of whether Bernie is in office or not, so it's not like she's lazy or looking for a handout. She probably just wants other people to have the same opportunities for welfare that she enjoys! As for the redneck towtrucker, we aren't shown the whole story. He says (at a point in the narrative timeline chosen, probably intentionally, to bury the information) that he has had a lot of problems with Bernie supporters in the past, and as a result, didn't feel the risk was worth it. We don't fault taxi drivers for turning away drunk people or teens on bathsalts; his towtruck, his experiences, his call.

EvilHomer - 2016-05-08

In other words, I see nothing wrong with either of them. The real villain here is Fox Carolina 21, which is merely filling dead air time with negative stereotypes about the rising revolutionary class.

Old_Zircon - 2016-05-08

Nothing you said makes either of them less funny.

Oscar Wildcat - 2016-05-08

He's lying, of course, on that point. Can't you tell?

Oscar Wildcat - 2016-05-08

I mean about having problems with Bernie supporters.

EvilHomer - 2016-05-08

Of course they're funny, but it's a cruel and tragic comedy.

Instead of exploiting these two people to suit a political agenda, I think Fox Carolina 21 should have sat them down and made them watch My Little Pony Season 4, Episode 13 together.

Oscar Wildcat - 2016-05-08

Actually EH, by US federal law, they're certainly not the same. Jethro here has not only violated federal and (presumably) state law, but he's openly admitted to it. She can and should sue him based on that, because she'd prevail and in the America I live in we are about making money, which is what she can do here.

Old_Zircon - 2016-05-08

"a cruel and tragic comedy."

We've got to remember our roots sometimes.

memedumpster - 2016-05-08

My point was I thought OZ was setting up Jonestown for Hillary supporters, where the confirmation bias between hating one group of The Other and hating the other The Other would lead to what I only imagined in my mind as as infinitely large train striking an infinitely dense wall for time without passage in space without dimension. The desire to see both fail while needing both to succeed to cause the failure state of the other was too much for my logical mind.

Not every numinous experience is pleasant, okay?

Bort - 2016-05-08

As for myself ...

1) As far as I can tell, this truck driver is in the wrong, while the woman is at worst annoying (and not even necessarily so).

2) I want Trump supporters to fail. I want Bernie supporters to either get their heads out of their butts and help defeat Trump, or return to their usual apathy and stay the hell out of the way. We'll beat Trump without them if we must, the same way we beat Romney without them.

My brain transistor is biased so that input signals are amplified, not merely off or on.

memedumpster - 2016-05-08

Yeah, I want a country where 60% of the voting populace isn't declared Enemy of All Things every 4 years and scapegoated for the 30%'s personal character flaws.

For a moment I thought OZ was trying to bring this about with cognitive mass murder and I had a real "oh shit, super villains exist" moment.

Still trying to sell out, by the way, should that be the case, OZ! You can even give me a sidekick name!

Bort - 2016-05-08

How about Pyrite the Boy Asshole? That sounds filthy, but the cadence is right.

memedumpster - 2016-05-08

That sounds great, but in a battle with aliens or something that would be shortened to "Pyrite" which sounds a lot like other words, so could give rise to confusion.

I'm thinking "Shitglitter the Boy Asshole" However you shorten it, I will still be the only one to answer to it, and everyone will hesitate before saying the whole thing out loud.

Bort - 2016-05-08

I know I'd be VERY hesitant to fight someone calling himself "Shitglitter". What do his powers do? What will be the aftereffects of fighting him? Am I going to have to have a very difficult conversation with the wife, the kids, and the plumber?

memedumpster - 2016-05-08

I think making people ask those questions is the power.

You know, superhero ideas actually seem simple until you try and come up with your own. I can understand why so many are just terrible.

Ryo-Cokey - 2016-05-08

The lady supposedly has fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome, so she really just needs chronic lyme disease to complete the disability malingerer trifecta.

EvilHomer - 2016-05-09

Ryo - I don't know if I'd call fibro-sufferers "malingerers". There is clearly something wrong with them, and if it's not physical, then it's mental and emotional.

Meme - such as? I used to come up with superheroes, too. What superheroes have you invented?

Corpus Delectable - 2016-05-07

Word salad, even by Carolinan standards.

Two Jar Slave - 2016-05-07

It's not fair, but I just think it's the world that we live in, it is what it is, and it's all good.

Easy five.

Binro the Heretic - 2016-05-07

One day, the tow truck driver will be the one in need.

When that happens, I hope he gets it.

Bobonne - 2016-05-07

Yeah.

Hopefully he'll be in need of being pulled away from the wall he got put up against.

But I feel like the Lord just said to me, "hey man... fuck 'em"

EvilHomer - 2016-05-08

All those dumb, religious, woman-abandoning Trump supporters really need to stop stereotyping people! >:(

Gmork - 2016-05-08

Sarcasm notwithstanding, you're absolutely right.

dairyqueenlatifah - 2016-05-08

lol

Callamon - 2016-05-09

You missed, "being on disability is not the same thing as being disabled"
