Apparently, Priebus is quietly asking state governors and other convention bigwigs just how much they like, or dislike, Trump as the candidate.

Seems the possibility of a convention upset still exists. The fact that the possibility still exists at all is crazy, given how solidly he won the primaries, but hey, Trump is a very special boy.

Trump won't drop out because the only way that happens is with an open party rebellion, and the Repubs have proven themselves to be a pack of absolute cowards who would never do such a thing.

Paul Ryan clearly hates Trump and is deeply ashamed of him, he refutes Trump's statements on a daily basis, but he still won't retract his endorsement of him.

An entire national party is currently in the throes of battered wife syndrome, which is going to be hard for them, what with their refusal to pass laws to protect actual battered wives.

I doubt any sane republicans (oxymoron?) think trump will drop out even if he loses the nomination. His ego is too uge for that. So in effect republicans are desperately trying to elect Hilary Clinton by splitting the vote, because trump would be so horrible for republicans long term if he somehow wins.
