Also, I should point out that, due to the very nature of their career, wrestlers have a lot of self-control. A wrestler who gets angry in a physical situation and loses control is a wrestler who puts his partners at risk, and as a result, won't make it very far in the business. Athletes from lesser sports don't often have to be co-operative with the other team - as a result, these lesser athletes don't really have the time or opportunity to develop good, healthy conflict-resolution skills.

If you're a footballer or a high-balling squash player, let's say, most of your time is spent trying to one-up a rival on the field. Of course there's going to be a lot of body-checked fans and rackets smashed-over-heads! But wrestlers are like Marines, or even surgeons. They need to be strong and in control, both physically AND mentally - able to move from explosive action to patient precision at any moment - in order to accomplish their missions.

I never said anything about fans. My point was simply about wrestlers. There are psycho wrestling fans, of course, and there are most CERTAINLY psycho fans from other fandoms, but wrestlers themselves are (generally) not psychos - hence why your other-day observation was correct, and wrestlers don't beat fans.

Did you misspeak before? Above, did you perhaps mean to say "wrasslin' had a deficit of -its fans- beating -the stars-"? Because this observation is also true, but (obviously) for a different reason.

Correction: "I never said anything about fans" should have read "I never said anything about fans being (or not being) psycho".

I did, of course, say stuff about fans, but only in passing, and only in reference to their 'being beaten by wrestlers' (and/or professional squash players).
