It shouldn't be that hard to buy the real stuff that people would resort to synthetics... but what would I know, I've never done pot.

The 2008-era K2 was a reasonably close analog of natural cannabis (or so I've been told). Then the DEA stepped in and made five key chemical compounds in K2 illegal. So they just changed the formula each time the laws were updated. Whatever the hell that stuff is now, it is apparently bad news and has little in common with the original product. Thank god for the DEA, keeping us safe.

K2 is being presented as "new"? I know potheads have poor memories, but the gas stations in my hometown were selling that stuff since at least 2010.

I've been noticing a lot more chatter about weed lately, which may have something to do with the fact that Big Agra (specifically Monsanto and their buddy, George Soros) has started lobbying hard to control the future weed industry, rather like they were doing over in Uruguay a few years back. I've also been noticing a spike in fear-mongering over designer drugs, which may have something to do with the same ("designer drug scares" and the threat of small, local growers go hand-in-hand). So, that leads me to wonder: if weed gets legalized, and Monsanto moves to corner the marijuana industry, will ALL designer drugs be regulated out of existence, or will Monsanto's GMO weed be given an exception?
