That's an awful lot of time and resources to produce a few tiny pellets of iron.

glasseye - 2016-07-31

Making iron is hard.

SolRo - 2016-07-31

He made iron from bacteria.

I don't think you understand the significance of that.

MurgatroidMendelbaum - 2016-07-31

Technology develops at an exponential rate.
This time next year, he'll have developed multi-core integrated electronics powered by refined fossil fuels.

Lord_Crocodilicus - 2016-07-31

He claims to have invented that spin blower, which is cool. I've seen how the Africans do this, and it requires basically an entire village to make one iron hoe using 2 goat skin forge blowers.
I'll go ahead and submit that video.

glasseye - 2016-07-31

Yeah, double bellows are a lot less work and provide more consistent flow if you can build a big enough set.

Tough American Bouncer - 2016-07-31

But building bellows is much harder. You would need a good skins and good leather crafting skills. I could not build a bellows with valves using primitive means, but I could probably build this blower.

Oscar Wildcat - 2016-07-31

It is too small by about an order of magnitude to be of much use for iron. That's the problem. Otherwise, very clever!

SolRo - 2016-08-01

It would work way better with 10 curved blades and some vibration sensitive LEDs.

Simillion - 2016-07-31

i love this stuff. I used to mess around with iron and homemade backyard forges during high school. I appreciate this guy's work

glasseye - 2016-08-01

All of his stuff is great.

memedumpster - 2016-07-31

Would.

bawbag - 2016-08-01

Right?

15th - 2016-08-01

I'd like to imagine he'll spend 200 moons forging a spear to kill some guy at Kinkos.

Raggamuffin - 2016-08-01

When does he fight the Gorn?
