Are they aware they're being made fun of? I'm sure they thought (as everyone does) that their opinions were exceptionally wise and clear-headed, and they didn't imagine that signing the releases meant being laughed at.

I think you first need to define the word "fake". All television bits are edited, of course, and "political humor" (i.e. televised propaganda) is edited more than most. In THAT sense, this segment is definitely fake.

But I don't think we can say for certain that the individuals being held up for ridicule were not Trump supporters, and it certainly is not accurate to say that Trump supporters would never sign waivers to appear on TV. The reasons for doing so are as many and varied as there are Trump supporters themselves - we could get in to some of these reasons if you want, but suffice it for now to say that such reasons do exist.
