True story...

I know a guy who is an RPG tabletopper, and he is always part of some ongoing campaign somewhere or other. Yesterday he tells me he got invited to be in this new campaign, but he doesn't like one of the other new guys because he is a flat earther, and he doesn't think he could play with him without targeting him unfairly for derision and mockery outside of character.

Flat earthers are now two degrees from me in a real world sample.

I don't know the proper onomatopoeia for that.

Two Degrees of Sir Francis Bacon?

The map in this video really gets me. It is a projection based on a spherical earth. The southern hemisphere gets stretched out the further you go from the equator. If you were to 'fold' it back in to 'unstretch' the map you would end up with a sphere.

In a few minutes of googling I couldn't actually find a flat map of the earth. Most of them used this same projection. One flat-earther replied that the distances between the continents were unknown and fabricated on round maps.

The Antarctic-as-a-wall-around-the-world model is literally what StinkyCASH believes.
