People are always shocked that I while I agree that there are a number of reasons to be concerned about GMOs, I don't think the food itself is much of a problem.
More than one person said they didn't like the idea of their DNA being changed.
I'm with Killer Joe. The food itself isn't a big deal. But did y'all hear about the crop loss thanks to Monsanto and moronic farming?

it always surprises me that this comes across as news to people. we've been 'genetically modifying' (aka hybridizing) plants for hundreds of years at this point.
SolRo: No, GMO is *not* on a completely different plane. They're almost exactly the same thing; the only thing that differs is the technique by which we modify the genes.
