In real life, what happened was that the local officials declared war on the Canadian Geese. NYC is along a migratory route so there's plenty of competition for park real estate. Despite this well known fact, Parks officials rounded up geese by the score and gassed them to death. Mind you, kids feed those geese and lots of people like to sit on the benches and watch them. After the goose Holocaust, there was an outcry like you wouldn't believe. Children were marching on the parks offices. Old women were pelting the parks commish. with bottles and insults at public appearances. Yet the program of death continued. Dogs were also brought in to haze the geese and eggs were oiled to prevent young from hatching. Of course, there are like a million fucking geese, so all of this was in vain. The commish retired under a cloud of controversy. And the geese returned. You might just as well bail out the ocean with a 10 penny bucket.

15th - 2016-09-14 I grew up near Canada. One can only resign themselves to the occupation. Some defiantly mutter "fucking geese," others take bread from their own family as a clumsy offering. But, there is no harmony, only acres and acres of shit.

15th - 2016-09-13 That's happened to me, I watched a movie and was convinced 45% of it was CGI. It was a character drama set in present time.
