The American south east could certainly stand some more densely populated cities. I'm lookin' at you Atlanta.

So he calls the video "Where to put the next billion people" and then he doesn't tell us where to put them???!?
I have an idea: re-title it "I don't know where to put the next billion people", and be honest with us for once!!!

Cena_mark - 2016-10-03 The video presented viable regions, it's not going to make the call. As I pointed out in the comment above, the American south east fits the bill. I'd love to see southern cities like Atlanta and Charlotte become less sprawled and more like REAL cities like NYC and Philly.
|
Old_Zircon - 2016-10-03 The last thing we need is more cities like NYC.

Gmork - 2016-10-03 This video contains parts of the world I don't like!

That guy - 2016-10-03 ^ Gmork is doing this because I don't like Star Wars, so he's 1-starring other people's videos for no reason.

I can't decide if this needs a "malthusian nightmare of the future" tag or "malthusian nightmare of the present"...

It's densely populated and had decent public transportatiohn. That makes it better for the environment than sprawl cities like LA, Atlanta, and Houston, where more land is used up per person, everyone has to drive everywhere, and tons of water and land is used up for big lawns and poorly planned subdivisions.

You put them in whatever grave makes the rich the most money.
We have a foreign policy for a reason, people.

jfcaron_ca - 2016-10-03 I was hoping the mass cullings/famines/disasters wouldn't start until after my natural lifetime, but 2030 is coming up...
