As awesome as that sounds, I still plan on voting for the lady.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2016-10-24

Actually, as "FUCK YOU"s go, electing Hillary Clinton ain't bad.

Actually, true story, in 2000, I was the first person at my polling place, at 6 AM, and that's where I voted for Hillary Clinton for the first time (FOR NEW YORK SENATOR) and in the privacy of the booth, as I pulled the lever, not loudly, but out loud, I spoke the words "Fuck you, Trent Lott"

One small FUCK YOU for a man, one giant FUCK YOU for mankind.

Nikon - 2016-10-24

Hilldawg's starting war with Russia will be the biggest "F-ck you" to the human race.

Gmork - 2016-10-25

Putin criticizing US for existence of Guantanamo, Trump vowing to fill it with "bad guys, the worst".

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2016-10-25

If Ronald Reagan never managed to get us into a war with Russia, getting us into a war with Russia can't be as easy as it looks.

EvilHomer - 2016-10-25

The trouble is, your Hillary vote is saying "fuck you" to everyone who isn't benefiting from the current American hegemony. Hillary is as establishment and business-as-usual as politicians come; if you wanna be some kind of foul-mouthed, middle-aged, punk-rock iconoclast by going hard establishment, hard Thatcherite, hard Let's Kill Some Muslims and Blow Up Russia, well John knock yourself out - but I do have to question why you're thinking this way.

We've got youth voter turnout averaging 12 percent during midterms, but this year the the youth are aflame with the Bernie Sanders revolution, annoying the shit out of me on Twitter with a bunch of talking points about how Hillary Clinton is essentialy the evil version of Judi Dench in the Bond movies. Politics as usual doesn't work, they say. And they're right, because politics as usual is when these sanctimonious little shitstains don't show up to vote in midterms.

Im voting for Hillary because she's an incredibly skilled politician. They've been trying to destroy her for 25 years, and she's about to be president. Being President is about 99 per cent politics and about 1 per cent remembering to put your pants on in the morning. The Republicans like Trump because he's not a politician. Which is why he drove his campaign into a ditch.

Democratic voters will get better results out of Democratic politicians when they give them the cover they need by voting Democratic.

Oscar Wildcat - 2016-10-25

I don't doubt Michael Moore's experience, but I've met plenty of well off middle class voters that are "with Him". If you press though they all have problems articulating why they do. Most of these people directly benefit from the things Donald would change. From what I can tell, if there is a fuck you here, it's directed at Hillary Clinton pretty exactly, for fairly petty reasons.

Oscar Wildcat - 2016-10-25

The Berners need to realize that their job is to apply fire to the feet of the sitting president and Hillary is more likely to feel the hot foot than Donald. Donald thrives on conflict, and needs an enemy to function.

2016: When the Hillz is in the Pot, turn on the Berners!

>>Im voting for Hillary because she's an incredibly skilled politician. They've been trying to destroy her for 25 years...

Neither side of the aisle has a monopoly on regurgitating talking points.

Doc Victor - 2016-10-25

I do not like Hillary Clinton, but I am willing to accept the many reasons people might feel inclined to vote for her. I am even willing to accept Bort, because I am sure he is drawing a paycheck from some Clinton bagman that deemed this place worthy of their attention, which merits respect in its own right. I couldn't help but pipe up here, though, John.
John, if I had to speculate I would say you are voting for Hillary because she represents a validation of your life, which is to say utter failure as a man. I imagine that your eager acceptance of someone so clearly corrupt and incompetent as your leader could only be the result of harkening back to the last time you remember a woman not treating you like garbage, i.e. when you were on the tit. I understand you have not had a lot of success over the years with women, work, or anything at all, and that you have been so beaten and emasculated that you are too afraid to admit to yourself that you are sexually attracted to attractive young women on the internet, and that your physically debilitated state and squalid lifestyle confirm the basis for these fears constantly. In a certain sense I empathize with you. However, listening to you shriek and prosthelytize about how great Hillary Clinton is, reaching far beyond any logical conclusion to prop up a candidate who possesses all but open contempt for you, is a sad reminder that you are just a pathetic, perpetually self-deluding idiot, although to your credit I think Hillary would consider you to be of the useful variety.

Old_Zircon - 2016-10-25

Oscar Wildcat saved me $10

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2016-10-25

>>Neither side of the aisle has a monopoly on regurgitating talking points.

It's fucking history, you twit. People talk about it because it actually happened, and they watched it on their televisions. The republicans made such a disgusting spectacle of their vendetta against the Clintons that the Democrats picked up seats even as Clinton was about to impeached. (I can tell you what bar I was drinking at when the returns were coming in.) In the whitewater examination Ken Starr locked up a woman who refused to testify because she was afraid that if she told the truth she'd be facing perjury charges. Her name was Susan McDougall. I saw her on the news being transferred, and she was barefoot and wearing LEG IRONS, I guess because they thought she might make a run for it? The blow job case happened because a conservative publisher convinced a friend of Monica Lewinsky to record a private conversation between friends. It was sleazy and ruthless and heartless and we were all a witness to it.

So, Hillary and Bill are a package pair when it fits your narrative? I think you had the opposite stance regarding Bill's rape accusations.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2016-10-26

>>I understand you have not had a lot of success over the years with women, work, or anything at all, and that you have been so beaten and emasculated that you are too afraid to admit to yourself that you are sexually attracted to attractive young women on the internet,

My life is actually pretty wonderful; it's just not what I planned. The plans all failed, but the accidents worked out nicely.

I never said that I didn't think Catie Wayne was attractive. I mean, holy shit, of course she is. I probably said that I wouldn't want to fuck her, because I'd certainly wind hating myself. Also, she wouldn't want to, because she's young and hot, and on a good day, the best I can hope for ois "distinguished". Also I've never met the girl. It's a dumb thing to talk about. Thanks for bringing it up again, by the way.

I once got a very nice note from Catie thanking me from my support, She said I was "a fucking great guy", because that's how she talks, and she said she respected me. If tempted, I might be dumb enough to fuck that up, but that's a temptation I'll never have to face.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2016-10-26

>>>The Berners need to realize that their job is to apply fire to the feet of the sitting president and Hillary is more likely to feel the hot foot than Donald. Donald thrives on conflict, and needs an enemy to function.

I agree. What Bernie Sanders accomplished this year was just enormous, and I can't understand why he didn't stay with the Democratic party, and use his clout to create an alliance for real change. It seems like a wasted opportunity.

Bort - 2016-10-26

Bernie was always in it for Bernie, not for the good of the country.

"But he said lots of good things!" Yeah, successful demagogues always do.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2016-10-26

>>So, Hillary and Bill are a package pair when it fits your narrative?

Hillary and Bill were both subjects of the Whitewater investigation, therefore, IT'S THE FUCKING NARRATIVE.

>>I think you had the opposite stance regarding Bill's rape accusations.

I don't remember, but since making Hillary culpable for Bill's alleged sex crimes would be idiotic, I choose to believe you.

If this was an episode of the office, you'd be Dwight, I'd be Jim, and I'd be the camera one of my subtle, but meaningful looks.

Scrotum H. Vainglorious - 2016-10-24

Best thing about the 2008 and 2012 elections were the 'sad white conservative faces' that sprang up the following day. I can't wait to see them again for this election.

Two Jar Slave - 2016-10-25

Michael Moore hasn't been helpful for over a decade.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2016-10-25

I don';t know how you'd measure these things, but it's my intuitive sense that Micjhael Moore has done more to advance documentary film than to advance the cause of liberal politics. In 2004, I stood in line to see Fahrenheit 911, like it was a Star Wars Movie. Bush got reelected anyway, but to get people that excited over a documentary is an accomplishment all by itself.

Two Jar Slave - 2016-10-25

Yes, those were exciting times. We seemed right on the cusp of a new era where cheap technology and word-of-mouth advertising were empowering the little guy to tell big truths to a wide audience, and Moore was the perfect guy to lead the charge. Then he led the charge on discrediting the entire genre by manipulating and flat-out invemting facts to spin his message, so that within another few years it was clear that all these empowered little punks could and would make convincing documentaries on any subject, with any takeaway, without any system of accountability. And the whole wonderful notion collapsed into just another form of echo-chamber massage. Documentaries now have the credibility of a Fox News special report, and if we can't blame Michael then we can at least point to him as a high-profile example the shift.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2016-10-25

Okay, what? So before MIcheal Moore, political documentaries were always objective and never misleading? Are you kidding?

There's always at least one moment in every Michael Moore film where you want to slap the guy. It didn't bother me that he ambushed Charleton Heston, and showed him doddering away like Boris Karloff in the Mummy in Bowling for Columbine. What bothered me is that the shot of Moore holding up the picture of the dead kid for Mr. Heston to see, pleading for him to take a look, was clearly set up after Heston had gone. You knew this because it was a jump cut, and there hadn't been another camera in that spot.

So he set up a shot of something that had just happened and renacted it so he could get a better angle. Is it unethical? Sort of . It's the kind of ethical line that isn't very serious, but it's sharp. Don't cross it, and you won't cross the next line, which is a little less sharp.

Worse, it stands out. It ruins the most iconic moment of the film by suddenly making it seem artificial

I was just looking for a still of that shot, and I found an article about it

The fact that this is probably supposed to be an anti-Trump routine makes it the finest example of cognitive dissonance ever recorded.

Binro the Heretic - 2016-10-25

This whole election has been a huge "Fuck you!" by everyone directed at everyone else.

Sanders' popularity was a big "Fuck you!" to the Democratic party from liberals who were tired of milquetoast Democrats who were really indistinguishable from Republicans.

Clinton's selection was a big "Fuck you!" to the Sanders supporters by the Democratic party because they knew it was either vote for her or let Trump win.

Trump is nothing but a big "Fuck you!" to elites by bitter working-class types who feel they've gotten the shit end of the stick and are, quite frankly, right about it.

Very few people will be voting for someone or something they believe in. Mostly, voters will be stepping in the booth to cast a middle finger at someone else.

Even refusing to vote is just standing and flipping off the masses.

GravidWithHate - 2016-10-25

Don't forget Brexit, Indyref 2, and the ensuing article 50 negotiations: A 'fuck you', 'no fuck you', and 'no, seriously, fuck you' respectively.

Oscar Wildcat - 2016-10-25

...and there came to pass, in the foul year of our Lord 2016, a great rubbing together of parts.

15th - 2016-10-26

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up.

Enjoy - 2016-10-25

How did Michael Moore bring us all together? I feel like holding hands with y'all.
