Well, I'd love it if you told me why. DOTD has the kind of acting and dialogue that makes me want to punch the projectionist,but. the , but te first two are unipeachable classics. I shouldn't challenge the third without being open to being wrong.

But my point about this should be self evident.

I find it darker and more nihilistic in tone. While the characters in Dawn manage to build their own temporary paradise, Day plays off the Reagan-era Cold War fears and it's characters are offered no respite (save for the pilots). Also, the blood isn't pink and the zombies aren't blue. But that is in no way intended to throw shade on the first two, which are masterpieces.

For my part, this movie was my first zombie flick. I happened upon it at the video rental place, and the whole weekend all I wanted to do was watch it over and over again even though everyone else in the house hated it and was getting mad at me. So it makes me all misty eyed to see it these days, but I'm not going to sit here and defend it.

It's ugly, poorly written, full of bad acting. But it'll always have a place in my heart.

I like my submission.

I remember seeing this years ago. I loved the first two movies, I'd waited almost a decade for the conclusion of the Trilogy ,and I was on board until "SHE'S GOT AN HONEST TO GOD DICK!" From that point on, I was rooting for the zombies.

Is it nihilistic that a zombie sort of learns to appreciate Beethoven? And I'm not saying that it isn't. I mean, teaching a zombie to appreciate Beethoven is sort of pointless, isn't it? It certainly seemed pointless while I was watching it.
