Harry: Some kind of-

Janeway: ENOUGH! *slaps Neelix*

5 for reminding me of my favourite voyager moment: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVdH1GomPTk

The "murder Neelix" holodeck program is by far the most popular one on the ship. Neelix himself uses it on a regular basis. He thinks the others don't know.

The barrel bottom of Trek writing:

Voyager > Enterprise subplots > 1st season of TNG

bawbag - 2016-11-18

Did you forget 'any episode with Jake and Nog' or 'baseball and jake sisko' though? Because those were painful.

bawbag - 2016-11-18

Baseball and Ben Sisko*

I generally like Nog-centric episodes. What character better exemplifies Federation idealism than an uneducated, abused trailer trash guttersnipe who spurns tradition, teaches himself to read, and joins the Navy for a better life? Kid's a damn hero. He even loses a leg fighting for the hew-mons who barely tolerated him in their schools.

Jake, not so much. But I like the contrast between them: Jake's a silver sooner, totally entitled, totally unconscious of the comfort and freedom that he enjoys and that his best friend has to fight tooth-and-earlobe for.

Compared to Nog, TNG and Voyager were crewed by flat cut-outs.

oh god, the Vic Fontaine 'muh leg' episode haha

Fuck any "baseball as religion" story.

Waterworld and Postman are regarded as the worst movies ever while Field of Dreams & Bull Durham get oscar nominations?

Potrod - 2016-11-18

Bull Durham is a great movie. I don't think there are many people who dispute that. It's also not really a "baseball as religion" movie.

I wonder if it was a running joke to precede the most specific, technical descriptions with "some kinda..."

That's probably giving too much credit.

Worst part is I remember all these episodes.

I've wasted my life...
