Such joy!

Old_Zircon - 2016-12-23 Well, Bhangra was originally music and dance for the annual hemp harvest festivals, after all.
(Bhang, the root of the word bhangra, is a traditional mango and weed lassi that has been around for about 4000 years)

Oh man, I looked at some of the related videos and bhangra dancing in the snow appears to be a little bit of A Thing.
I'm all for it.

I wish I lived in a neighborhood where stuff like this happened.
There'd be various ethnic parades and displays every week. Including one for suburban white ladies, and I'd walk that parade, complaining about my knees and the weather.

I'd go to a class for this.

Old_Zircon - 2016-12-23 I bet you could find one, it's one of the most popular kinds of music in the world.

jfcaron_ca - 2016-12-24 My university student organization had regular Bhangra classes, drop-in and semester-long, but this was Vancouver so it probably has one of the highest % of Sikh students in North America.
