Renting video game systems was never worth it. they always made you put down the value of the system in case you broke it. if i had the money to use as collateral why wouldn't i just buy the system?

My local library would let you play for a half hour or an hour on either the ZX Spectrum 48k, The Commodore 64 or the BRAND NEW Master System. In my neighbourhood kids would actually queue up for it.

The 'hidden' snail maze game was a particular favourite.
