I watched this entire series a few years back, it's top notch.

I came across this series back in the day when I started becoming interested in toku shows, including sentai - it was made as a tribute to Gatchaman, including the bird theme for the team characters, and each team member was based somewhat on the members of the Science Ninja Team, leader Red Hawk inspired by Ken The Eagle, the anti-heroic Black Condor based on Condor Joe, and so on.

In one episode, the Monster of the Week is a simple hair dryer transformed by one of the villains' 'Dimension Bugs' into Dryer Jigen. He attempts to engage in villainy but ultimately can't stop trying to help people and ends up working with the heroes. He ends up not being destroyed, the heroes actually allow him to leave after helping them and he ends up working as an assistant at a hair salon.
