I'm glad that I had the privilege to expose this movie to you, Cog.

Old_Zircon - 2017-02-26

This is another one I haven't seen, was it an off-night?

Old_Zircon - 2017-02-26

"Reception
Box office
The Dark Backward performed extremely poorly during its limited run, making only $28,654."

Holy shit. I definitely remember this being released and advertised, I had no idea it did THAT badly.

Zircon, it's when I was first learning how to stream and I had just gotten this movie because it was recommended to me by a friend who is a special ed school teacher who works at a heavily jewish private school in Mercer Island.

I wanted to test something so I fired this up for cog and I to watch. It's a pretty odd ball of a film. It's about Judd Nelson as a squirrely wimpy guy who aspires to be a stand up comedian in a world that is a sleazier version of Tim Burton's Gotham City from Batman 1989. Bill Paxton is Judd's bacchanalian counterpart who tries to promote Judd's act after Judd grows A THIRD ARM that sticks strait out of his back.

I love this movie from a distance and this scene is the first thing I think of at the mention of Bill Paxton.

Also instead reposting, he was amazing in near dark - http://www.poetv.com/video.php?vid=73674

I can think of a lot of bad movies Bill Paxton was in, but I can't think of a single Bill Paxton performance that isn't exceptionally entertaining.

He was one of those people like Dennis Hopper where no matter what you stuck him in it was going to be worth watching to see how he played it.

What an entertaining guy.

He'll always be Hudson to me. And of course I always get stuck on Twister if I happen to catch it on a lazy afternoon of channel surfing.

61 is far too young.

RIP.
