"Caution: do not invade Russia while under the influence of this product".

I saw this guy's channel a few times and he was just eating 10-to-20-year-old surplus MREs.

Where the fuck did he get nazi meth candy? The way his hands were trembling, it looks like he had some before shooting the video.

Oscar Wildcat - 2017-03-05

He ate about 4 shots of espresso. What a pig! Don't you want to save some for your friends to try?

Apparently this chocolate is still a going concern in Germany. In an ideal world my banner ad would reflect this.

I went down the youtube rabbit hole and ended up running into a post on an MRE forum message board where he posted the obvious place to buy WW2 Nazi meth candy; Ebay.

These reviews are part of a MRE Museum, documenting the types and content of rations throughout history. He's gotten a lot of very old and rare stuff, there seems to be a whole network of collectors that are into MREs that buy and sell and trade. He even has a video of eating a civil war era hard tack biscuit that a museum sent him to try.

After hurricane Ivan, the authorities gave families a few cases of MREs to get by on. We burned through our perishables in the first few days and decided to start the MREs before getting into our canned & dried foods. They were all surprisingly good.

We ended up with about a case of the things left once everything was back up & running. I used them as breakfast & lunch until they ran out. I could take a meal to work, have the stuff like the jams & cheese spreads on the bread or crackers for breakfast, have the entrée for lunch and consume the beverages & snacks throughout the day. Sometimes, I wouldn't even need a supper at the end of the day.

I miss their convenience. I wish there was an affordable version I could get for weekdays and then eat regular food on the weekends, but they're pricey. The cheapest I've found are about $12.50 a pop, nearly double the average of what I spend on food daily.

Where does one get one's hands on this sort of stuff? Praytell?

duck&cover - 2017-03-05

It's just a massive dose of caffeine, not actual amphetamine.

SolRo - 2017-03-05

yeah I'm confused about the missing meth.

Binro the Heretic - 2017-03-05

Yeah, after a little research it seems the actual "meth candy" was Pervitin tablets. I had heard the nazis gave out methamphetamine to their troops to keep them "alert" but wasn't sure what form it came in.

Maybe he took some of those off-camera and that's why his hands are shaking?

Maggot Brain - 2017-03-05

There is probably the amphetamines in the chocolate.

cognitivedissonance - 2017-03-05

History loves coincidences, because most of today's Nazis are also methheads too.
