At 8:15 in he starts explaining why he paid $1000 for wooden coasters. I've been studying audiophiles for 20 years and eagerly awaiting the moment when they crossover with Feng Shui. This is it!

I can't help but have some love in my heart for these modern day Quixote's, though also some pity, contempt, and fear. I comfort myself by thinking about some engineer who made the leap to middle-class or higher by fleecing these guys while still getting to tinker with some fun electronics.

I agree. Their "victims" are certainly the most deserving.

The man he's interviewing seems dead inside, probably because he knows all the money in the world can't make music sound as good as being seventeen does.

Not much can truly compare to the feng shui people who are willing to pay $100k more for a house because the staircase is in the right spot.

Oh my god, the website's "Shun Mook Explained" section where they flat out say science is bullshit and how the aura flowing through your left hand lets you experience the enhanced sound from their magical wooden discs and diamond tipped resonator feet...oh my god it's Poered-grade amazing.

I'll just drop some thing I found in the comments section right here:

"to my understanding you spend more on your sound system and get much higher quality equipment than the recording artist has"

"isn't the equipment more nuanced and sophisticated than the human ear at this point too?"

"good news for owners of these tape decks: Analogue Productions is now selling tapes along with The Tape Project. same price $450/each"

"you need some ACDC CD's to play not 1920's jaz"
