There is a clip floating around of a history of atomic bomb explosions. A map is shown, and as time progresses, you see the individual events plotted with a calendar.

What I saw was a long, slow war, with each side detonating ordinance designed to kill. Casualties mounted, lands were laid to waste. What made it unique was that the Americans were bombing America, and the Soviets were bombing the Soviet Union. It was a long and costly war. The Soviet Union ultimately succumbed to it's many self inflicted wounds, we somehow survived. For now.

Well, it is also an indisputable fact that without the American nuclear deterrent the Soviets would have overrun all of Europe instead of half of it.

You can find a great analysis in "War: What is it good for" by Ian Morris -- who is actually a very kind-hearted humanist of an anthropologist, who hates war -- which is what makes it such interesting reading.

Ah yes Croc, that is the clip.

That's some 100% pure wolf urine, for sure. Finally.

All it needs is a body counter.

Many of these are terrible quality, just a fuzzy dark screen for two minutes.

But there are some gems, like this one,
Here's a real atmosphere contaminator!

Yeah most are real stinkers but under Trump we might get to see some with our very eyes!

hahaha oh no sir, the are mostly kiloton yield, just pikers rilly compared to the actual 10+ megaton ICBM MIRVs that would have such a heat flash that if you actually DID see it, your brain would not have time to process what it was seeing before your eyes and then your brain were reduced to a fine hot ash in quick succession. And yes, you'd be one of the lucky ones.

I grew up in the 80s too, you see.
