Anyway, I suspect what ol' Ted is REALLY angry about is that the constant lineup changes in that band were because nobody would put up with him for very long, and he's still bitter about it.

He kind of talks and acts like someone who has been raped. He seems real nervous, and that level of concern with safety. Like he says he doesn't feel safe without a gun on him. Then when you combine it with a history of fear of institutions and fear of women, as seen in his preference for very young women, you get a guy who seems like he got raped as a child.
