And your stars.

I will cut the head off the black snake, or I will die trying. For this, I was made.

If this was on a sketch show, it'd be my favorite sketch show.

Raggamuffin - 2017-03-28

life moves at 100 frames per second in the hybrid house

Maggot Brain - 2017-03-28

Who's wet dream is this?

SolRo - 2017-03-28

Actually I think this is someone's stereotype given form

Seven Arts/H8 Red - 2017-03-28

That reminds me, when are those Sinclair people going to get off their asses and create that hybrid brontosaurus? I hope that Henson show and Jurassic Park didn't put them off the idea.

SolRo - 2017-03-28

And they converted their 3 ton SUV into a hybrid by putting a solar cellphone charger in it!

Old_Zircon - 2017-03-28

"We want to live our lives as cleanly as possible, without giving up all the things that allow us to enjoy our lives" would make a nice inscription on our species' tombstone.

Redford - 2017-03-28

"By having my lesbian wife who is also a vegan robotics expert place two tiny solar panels on top of our house, we will stop global warming while simultaneously giving as much of our money possible to big oil because they deserve it!"

The Mothership - 2017-03-28

belongs here.

bac - 2017-03-28

What the fuck is renewable?

memedumpster - 2017-03-29

Life itself!

Which seems to explain why they look dressed up for Carousel.

bac - 2017-03-30

Happy I saved these.

Scrotum H. Vainglorious - 2017-03-29

Sometimes it's best for hated corporations to not have any presence on social media and YouTube.

yogarfield - 2017-03-29

But it's good for us, because we're the ones laughing in the back of the classroom as the school burns down in a hilarious inferno.

homogenousemptytime - 2017-03-29

For the evil.

Bort - 2017-03-29

In broad strokes I like Millennial Dirty Pair's ambition, and I hope they can find a better way to do things that requires no sacrifice of themselves or anyone else. But I also suspect they're living on the dime of people they consider Establishment tools, and (assuming they are carefully-picked specimens rather than actresses) they have no problem joining the sales wing of Big Oil.

Maybe they ought to build a fort:

betabox - 2017-03-29

Sacrifice to oneself can lead to character building.

I'm not saying that they should don hair shirts and flagellate themselves, but perhaps a little sacrifice would give them an atom or two of perspective.

Bort - 2017-03-29

Well said. Looking at these two I'm left with a sense that they're just playing and will continue doing this thing only until it ceases to be fun.

Ideally work shouldn't be a detestable soul-crushing labor, but I also don't think it should be fun fun fun all the time either. Work should challenge a person to persist even even through the non-fun parts. There's something to be said for growing to overcome obstacles.

15th - 2017-03-30

Ok, this got my wheels turning. Imagine - mobile, solar powered forts for disaster relief. The solar panel could power a USB hub for charging devices. I'm thinking a go fund will work, until investor pitch in. I could build a prototype and test it by road tripping! Nowhere shitty though.

threerow - 2017-03-30

Do you actually think these two aren't actors?

Bort - 2017-03-30

Carrot from OWS was real, the "build a fort" people were real, I do not assume any particular person is too stupid to be real.

Braze - 2017-03-29

Shell execs are like
'what are the kids into these days'
'homos, blue hair and robots'
'give that man a raise'

Old_Zircon - 2017-03-29

This is what the "totally grungified" tag is for, and there's still room for it.

Oscar Wildcat - 2017-03-29

That's the stuff, Braze.

Caminante Nocturno - 2017-03-29

Someone out there just discovered that they have a fetish for slow-motion shots of people carrying solar panels, and they're masturbating furiously to this video.

Old_Zircon - 2017-03-29

DON'T JUDGE ME

Lurchi - 2017-03-29

that background music sends me into a blind rage

Binro the Heretic - 2017-03-29

Do we really need big centralized power plants in most places anymore?

I mean, I can still see them being necessary for some areas, but it seems like we've got the technology to make most buildings self-powering, even if it means using a combination of solar, wind & fossil fuels.

Seems like emissions would be easier to control on a smaller scale.

Oscar Wildcat - 2017-03-29

No, but what we need to make a distributed system work is a real power grid. One that can handle a million little generators all going on and off at different times. I've noticed around here that the power company has real problems keeping a stable voltage, just due to load variations. Add a slew of generators, and things get ugly.

Believe it or not, the first big proponent of such a system was Enron. This was a good idea, even if promoted by Satan's toejam. If Trump wasn't such a gigantic fraudulent asshole, he'd get behind such a scheme, as every energy producer would be helped.

Binro the Heretic - 2017-03-29

I mean do private homes & businesses even need to be on a grid at all?

I can understand always needing a grid for municipal stuff, but does my house need to be forever wired to it? Does every Walmart Megastore need to be? Walmart is rich, let them build their own fucking power plant.

SolRo - 2017-03-30

Have you guys ever played sim city?

You don't want fossil fuel power generators near your population centers

SolRo - 2017-03-30

Also economies of scale and efficiency of scale

SolRo - 2017-03-30

Also also easier to regulate and upgrade one location instead of hundreds

Oscar Wildcat - 2017-03-30

@binro: no, but if you're going to the trouble of generating power, you will in fact end up with more than you need at times, and less at others. Hence the grid. Otherwise, you need a boatload of batteries or some other storage mechanism to buffer it. That gets expensive and flakey. The big deal with Musk's batteries is that they could do the job and power your car at the same time.

Binro the Heretic - 2017-03-30

This has been informative. Thank you.

Louddetective - 2017-03-30

This is definitely evil. Also, like... "I'm vegan! Watch me cook some mini carrots and broccoli florets in like an eighth-inch of oil for an indeterminate amount of time!" I'm vegan, and that looks awful.
