There's bad, then there's "Screw the vodka, bring me drano" bad. This is somewhere in between.

This is unwatchable, but I just watched the Brian DePalma film once more (on Hulu). It's great, of course, but I Never noticed before that Carrie is the only person in this little New England (?) town, including her mama, with a southern accent.

Carrie was Stephen King's first novel, and it's the best of the 7 or 8 Stephen King novels I've read, in part because, back before he was famous, someone used to EDIT his novels.

EDITIING: We can all use a whole lot more of it!
