The next phase of Harrison Ford's career will consist of him showing up in sequels to film he appeared in years ago, staggering out of the shadows holding a gun and saying "IT'S ALL TRUE"
Harrison Ford in Air Force One...2:
"It's all true...I told that guy to get off my plane." :stares off into distance as somber background music plays:

TheyUsedDarkForces - 2017-04-27 I just remembered that that car burned at the end of the first one, but that could just make it better...

badideasinaction - 2017-04-27 I think his next phase is all his characters dying onscreen in all his franchise roles so they can't CG-reanimate him for more sequels.

Apparently I'm not the only one who's had enough Star Wars.

Two Jar Slave - 2017-04-27 The hype train loses steam with each regular stop it makes. It's going to be impossible for most people to care, before long.

TheyUsedDarkForces - 2017-04-27 I love movies and tend to keep up with some movie related news and what have you, but I don't even know how many Star Wars movies there are now. Eight or nine? I'm wouldn't say they're bad--being as I've only seen the old ones and the prequels--but I would definitely say that I have zero interest in revisiting the Star Wars universe, especially in the context of the kind of big budget movies that typically come out of Hollywood at the moment.
I don't have any interest in passing judgement on what people find entertaining, it just doesn't hold any appeal to me on even a conceptual level.
But hey, my opinion is garbage. We watched "Evil Bong" for the last Monday Night Raw and it made me laugh genuine laughter on two separate occasions, so I lost any critical credibility I may have ever had.

Old_Zircon - 2017-04-27 You're braver than me, the most recent Star Wars I've seen was the first 20 minutes or so of the second prequel, at which point I fell asleep.

My opinion of George Lucas has gone up a lot since Disney sidelined him and he stopped giving a single fuck.
|
|
Old_Zircon - 2017-04-27 Ok so he's no longer contractually obligated to give a fuck.

It's got to the point where his performance in "The Force Awakens" was highly praised just because he smiled once or twice.
|
Old_Zircon - 2017-04-28 Those movies kind of ruined his acting career in the long run, he has every right to be sick of them.
|
Two Jar Slave - 2017-04-29 Wh... what? Starring in the highest grossing movies ever (at the time) allowed Harrison to take on rolls that were frankly way out of hid acting league for as long as he wanted to. Without Star Wars and Indiana Jones, he would've been at best a good looking regular on a soap, or maybe a b-list adventure star.

I just realized Harrison Ford is older than George Lucas. Never would have guessed it.
