Really, what was the impetus for this? Did Bannon think that the LA Riots were about "welfare-queens" not getting their "grain?"

cognitivedissonance - 2017-05-03
The reason he did it was to spit on Bertolt Brecht, who did his own adaptation. Brecht, as usual, staged it as a drama about the working man rising up against a warmongering autocrat that expected respect just for existing.

You can kind of see why Bannon would gravitate toward Trump.

Every racist thinks riots are about people wanting free shit.

I'm still mad at how bad of an allegory this is.

Old_Zircon - 2017-05-02
Oh shit, I heard about this the other day.

Deputy Jones?

Also, still better than Hamilton.

Cena_mark - 2017-05-03
Nothing's better than Hamilton. It is the greatest Broadway show ever. I'm a New Yorker so my opinion matters more than yours.

Old_Zircon - 2017-05-03
I forget who said it recently, and this is very much a paraphrase, but a few weeks ago I heard this:

"If you want to get in to the music business, move to Nashville or LA. If you want to get in to film, move to Atlanta or LA. If you want tog et in to marketing, move to New York."

Whoever that was really nailed it.

I only need to say one thing.

11 Tonys.

Supposedly, 90s Bannon was a hyper-healthy, gym going jock type, who would annoy his coworkers by botching at them about diet and exercise, and for a lot of his victims in Hollywood, seeing him turn into a bloated, puffy eyed corpse man is very edifying.
Old_Zircon - 2017-05-03
Does this count as a Hip-Hopera?

This was my very first question upon hearing about this, blood.

Also, stars for comedy gold. It's like he was fresh from binging on Iceberg Slim, Paris, Tookie Williams and Monster Kody. That dialog!
