I have vegan relatives so when we get together for dinners we just make sure we have some vegan choices.

Dunno what the big deal is. Some people just gotta have a target I guess.

(Note my target is people that gotta have a target, I guess)

I think it's an insecurity thang. Some people don't like to see others capable of sticking to their guns, especially when morality is involved. I'm not vegan or vegetarian, but I think it's a really respectable choice. Not to say some vegans aren't insufferable about it.

Monkey Napoleon - 2017-05-14

You just hit on the reason why people hate vegans, right at the end of your comment.

Some of them are insufferable, and their moral arguments can be pretty spurious. Nobody likes to listen to some idiot try to tell them how morally superior they are when they actually kind of aren't.

Xenocide - 2017-05-14

Some vegans are insufferable. But there are also way too many assholes who get instantly confrontational the second someone says, in any context, they they don't eat meat.

I don't know what people are so sensitive about food. It's just future poop. You all gonna fight over poop? Have a poop war? Because that would be funny.

Meerkat - 2017-05-14

Vegans, Vegetarians, Unitarians, Unitards, Christians, Atheists, Purists, Homeopaths, Naturopaths, Psychopaths, Gravelpaths, I think we can all agree there are insufferable specimens everywhere you look.

Meerkat - 2017-05-14

Addendum: there are lots of people who are just fucking insufferable and it's only a question of which goddamn flavour they've picked.

infinite zest - 2017-05-15

I decided to become vegan when I moved to Wisconsin when I was 18. You can fill in the next 17 years. :(

misterbuns - 2017-05-14

Rob zombie didnt create this show but i can see why you would think that as this edge was sharp about 25 years ago.

Aimed the crowd that only watched Metalocalypse for the gore.

Kid Fenris - 2017-05-15

Adult Swim has the habit of taking ideas that might be funny as five-minute sketches and turning them into multi-season TV shows.

Not that I'd include Metalocalypse in that category. It's good.

Seven Arts/H8 Red - 2017-05-15

Metalocalypse is the Dilbert UPN show with better quality, more gore and no megalomaniac talking ovals-that-sort-of-approximate-animals.

That's not a knock on Metalocalypse. Tom Kenny, Larry Charles and Larry Miller could only do so much for Dilbert.

Rosebeekee - 2017-05-14

I would have figured we'd reached a point where instead of vegans we rip on people with made up food allergies and what not. I had dinner with a guy who asked a waitress to find out how much sugar was in his made from scratch salad dressing. It took 20 minutes for the chef to add up the natural sugar from all the ingredients, then divided it by the portion size he used.

Xenocide - 2017-05-14

Is this cartoon gluten-free? Because I heard gluten causes vaccines.

infinite zest - 2017-05-15

South Park handled Celiac disease a few years before this show was even on.

infinite zest - 2017-05-15

But since you brought it up, Portlandia's been twisting around this episode's one-joke-knife for some 7 seasons now.

betamaxed - 2017-05-15

20 something males making smug jokes about veganism is cringe worthy especially when you get out in the world as an adult and realize that multiple cultures around the world don't eat meat.

infinite zest - 2017-05-15

huh?

Gmork - 2017-05-15

found the vegan

Spaceman Africa - 2017-05-16

well this is definitely one of the ugliest cartoons i've ever seen
