I remember watching this movie in the theater back when I was 13 and really enjoying it. It didn't seem half as implausibly dumb back then.

Those bullettime rigs were everywhere, yeah, but they were made obsolete by the "extrapolate from photon scatter" setting standard on most cameras in the early 2000's.

This scene is ridiculous, but the should-be-equally-ridiculous "facial recognition" scene that happens is basically every time you drive by a traffic camera in 2017.
